    Abstract: A media shredder system includes a body forming an inner cavity; a punch cutter; a die cutter; and a driver. The punch cutter includes a punch cylindrical body with an outer surface; and a plurality of random oriented protrusions with sharp cutting edges, the protrusions are configured to protrude from the outer surface of the cylindrical body. The die cutter includes a die cylindrical body with an outer surface; and a plurality of dies extending inwardly from the outer surface of the die cylindrical body, the plurality of dies matching the plurality of random oriented protrusions. The driver simultaneously rotate the punch cutter and the die cutter.

    Abstract: A paper shredder cutting assembly having an arbor, spaced-apart cutting blades on the arbor, a rigid frame set apart from and parallel to the arbor, and braces coupling the arbor to the frame. Each resilient brace is a spacer between a pair of spaced-apart cutting blades. The braces support arbor and cutting blades. The rigid frame and the braces cooperate to strengthen, and to reduce translational motion of the arbor, while allowing rotation of the arbor. Each brace has a brace body, a brace tang extending therefrom, and a brace tab extending perpendicularly from the brace tang. Each brace tab is aligned with another along an edge of the rigid frame, the brace bodies are spacers between the cutting blades, and the brace tabs impair translational motion of the brace bodies. A paper shredder with a motor, gearing, and counterposing cutting assemblies has motion-limited resilient spacers adjacent to cutting blades.

    Abstract: A paper shredder motor cooling assembly having a paper shredder motor coupled to a fan shaft, an enclosure surrounding the paper shredder motor and having selected input and selected output vents to control airflow to the paper shredder motor, a fan coupled to the fan shaft, communicating with the selected input vents or the selected output vents; when the paper shredder motor is operating, the rotor shaft turns the fan to generate a differential air pressure between the selected input vents and the selected output vents, removing heat from the motor. A duty cycle of greater than 15 minutes is obtained. The fan can be coupled to the motor by speed increasing gearing, attached to the cutter blade assembly, such that the fan turns faster than the motor. The fan also can be attached to the motor shaft. An input fan and an output fan can be used.

    Abstract: A portable shredder unit that includes a lightweight housing with a large interior cavity divided into a battery storage cavity and a collection cavity. Mounted on lid of the housing is a high capacity paper shredder component. Located inside the battery storage cavity is at least one 12 VDC rechargeable battery. The battery is connected to an inverter configured to convert the 12 VDC current into 110 VAC current required by the shredder component. Mounted on one end of the housing is a pair of wheels. Mounted on the opposite end of the housing is a pivoting or retractable handle that enables the unit to be pulled across a flat surface. The unit includes a control panel with a mode switch that controls the electricity source to the shredder component. An electrical cable is mounted on a wire retracting mechanism located inside the housing or lid. An optional battery charger is, also provided.

    Abstract: A regenerated cutting blade to be mounted and used in a shearing type grinder. The cutting blade includes a fixed part and a blade tip projecting outward from this fixed part, in which the blade tip has a leading edge pointed toward the rotating direction. Side edges 110 on the lateral side outer periphery including the blade tip, the leading end edge and the side edges are regenerated and formed by build-up welding. The lateral sides are provided with slip preventive build-up welding parts 111, 112, 113 extending from the side edges 110 toward the central side of its rotation or the central direction, and the build-up welding parts are formed by three regenerating processes.
