    摘要: A fractional denomination on-line gaming system and method of playing for use in all lottery, commercial game, promotional and other game applications. The preferred method of playing allows a consumer to purchase a fractional denomination share of a full unit game ticket, in an amount equal to the change the customer would have received back from any purchase of goods or services from a retailer authorized to offer the game. The method of playing includes a gaming system to exchange a customer's change for a fractional denomination game ticket for a chance at winning a prize. Players holding winning tickets will each receive a proportion of the overall prize based on the value of their wager relative to the total amount wagered by all winning tickets. Fractional denomination game tickets may play at equal odds of winning a prize or at weighted odds based on the fractional denomination share of a full unit game ticket entry. The lottery sponsor will determine the winning numbers according to the rules of the particular game. The game can incorporate the existing equipment of the lottery sponsor and requires programming and software modifications for processing fractional denomination game tickets. The ticket is printed in a format that facilitates a fractional denomination game ticket. The invention and method of playing can be adapted for use in other games of chance, games of skill and other gaming categories.

In one embodiment the device for verifying the authenticity of the document or the currency includes an external pump source for generating a stimulated emission the at least one security article disposed within the document or currency. In one embodiment the external pump source includes a pulsed Nd:YLF laser, a frequency doubling KTP crystal and a device to provide stimulated Raman scattering.

If a first communication has been received from a distributor indicating that a user has properly obtained a distributed ticket, then the record of the unique identifier corresponding to the distributed ticket is flagged to indicate that the distributed ticket may be activated and if a second communication has been received from the user that identifies the distributed ticket, then interactive data is received from the user; the user is instructed to uncover a preselected set of play spots by removing the removable medium; and the record of the unique identifier corresponding to the distributed ticket is flagged to indicate that the distributed ticket has been activated.

    摘要: A security document and its method of preparation are provided wherein a security image area on the face of the document is designated. The security image area comprises a two-dimensional array of security image blocks. Security image elements and the complementary security image elements in respective security image blocks are arranged such that the security image element and the complementary security image element portions occupy respective first and second percentages of each of the security image blocks to define respective characteristic relative occupation values (CROVs) for each security image block. The respective CROVs are substantially equivalent among a plurality of the security image blocks. A target CROV is established. Respective security image element portions and respective complementary security image element portions are established such that the respective security image element portions occupy a first percentage of a selected security image block and the respective complementary security image element portions occupy a second percentage of the selected security image block. A relative value of the first and second occupation percentages is determined and compared with the target CROV. At least one of the complementary security image element portion and the security image element portion is adjusted, if the comparison indicates a significant disparity between the first and second occupation percentages and the target CROV, such that the relative value of the first and second occupation percentages substantially corresponds to the target CROV. Finally, a security document including the two-dimensional array of security image blocks is generated, wherein each of the security image blocks is occupied by the security image elements and the complementary security image elements.
