摘要： The present disclosure includes a smart card. The smart card includes an audio module to receive a money deduction request in a form of an external audio signal from an external device, wherein the monetary-amount deduction request includes a monetary amount to be deducted and the external device's identification information. The smart card further includes a data processing module to authenticate the external device's identification information, deduct the monetary amount from the smart card after the authentication of the external device's identification information is passed, and generate monetary-amount-deduction result information. The audio module transmits to the external device the monetary-amount-deduction result information in a form of an audio signal, wherein the monetary-amount-deduction result information includes a deducted monetary amount to be added to the external device and the smart card's identification information to be authenticated by the external device.

摘要： A method is provided of operating a self-service check depositing terminal to provide a check deposit transaction receipt. The method comprises receiving a check from a depositor, capturing original check image data which is representative of an image of the check, embedding at least some alphanumeric text data which is representative of alphanumeric text into at least some of the original check image data to provide modified check image data which is representative of a composite image of the check and the alphanumeric text, and printing the composite image of the check and the alphanumeric text onto a check deposit transaction receipt.

摘要： The present invention provides methods and apparatuses for verifying that a transaction is legitimate. The methods and apparatuses use protected memory space, such as kernel space of an operating system, or a separate memory space, such as is available on a SIM card of a cellular phone. The method of the invention proceeds by creating a transaction identification string (TID) and associating the TID with a transaction. The TID contains data relevant to or associated with the transaction and is typically readable by an end-user. The transaction is then interrupted until a user responds in the affirmative to allow completion of the transaction. Methods and devices used in the invention are particularly well suited to M-commerce, where transactions originating from a device are typically recognized by a merchant as coming from the owner of the device without further authentication.

When the article is later presented, it can be confirmed to be the same particular article by re-measuring the albedo function, and checking for correspondence against the earlier-stored data. The re-measuring can be performed through us of a handheld optical device, such as a camera-equipped cell phone. The albedo function can serve as random key data in a variety of cryptographic applications. The function can be changed during the life of the article. After retrieving the current card balance encoded on the prepaid payment card, the card displays the current card balance. Remote terminals may be configured to support the real-time display of a balance on a prepaid payment card by writing the current balance to the card after a payment transaction has occurred.
