    摘要: Using a radar system in a motor vehicle, high frequency individual signal pulses are transmitted from at least one transmitting antenna, and at least one receiving antenna receives reception signals formed by reflection of the transmitted signal pulses from objects in the surroundings. The reception signals are mixed with the high-frequency signal to produce low-frequency mixed signals representing the sequence of individual signal pulses. The phase angle of the mixed signals is varied over successive individual signal pulses thereof by varying the phase angle of: the successive individual transmitted signal pulses, the high-frequency signals used for the mixing, and/or the mixed signals. In further processing of the mixed signals to determine the distance and the relative velocity of detected objects, an interference component can be separated and/or suppressed from a useful signal component because the useful signal component has the known phase angle variation but the interference component does not.

Determining a dispersion correction for removing, respectively lessening, dispersion effects, applying the dispersion correction to the intermediate frequency signal or to a signal derived therefrom and producing a dispersion corrected signal, and determining the position of the frequency peak in the frequency spectrum of the dispersion corrected signal anew by introducing a number of frequency support points in the region of the previously detected frequency peak, determining the respective frequency amplitudes selectively at the newly introduced frequency support points, and ascertaining the position of the frequency peak in the frequency spectrum of the dispersion corrected signal using the frequency amplitudes at the newly introduced frequency support points.

A pair of pulses is selected having respective reception times separated by an allowed pulse repetition intervals. One or more further pulses is selected that is related to the selected pair by having a respective reception time separated from the respective reception time of at least one pulse of the pair of pulses by one or more pulse repetition intervals from the set of pulse repetition intervals. At least two other pulses are discounted, that have respective reception times separated by a pulse repetition interval in the set of allowed pulse repetition intervals on the basis of not being related to the selected pair by having a respective reception time separated from the respective reception time of at least one pulse of said pair of pulses by one or more pulse repetition intervals from the set of pulse repetition intervals. The transmission of data is inhibited at least in part in dependence on the selection of the further pulses related to the selected pair.
