Abstract:
A process for treating filamentary products, such as yarn, includes advancing the yarn in a groove, which has orifices opening in the bottom thereof, and which communicate with a channel through which a fluid is expelled. The fluid supports the strand so that the yarn does not touch the groove. In addition, the fluid treats the yarn and helps to advance the yarn.
Abstract:
An apparatus for the treatment of a textile material comprising at least one treatment zone intermediate upstream and downstream treatment zones wherein successive zones are separated from each other by respective sealing zones. The textile material is propelled through the treatment zones by means of a forced circulation of a sealing liquid that flows through the sealing zones.
Abstract:
The dyeing apparatus effects a programmed dyeing pattern on the travelling strip. This apparatus includes a housing provided with a through channel for passage of the travelling strip through a treatment station in the housing. Treatment medium such as a dye is delivered to the treatment station via a channel perpendicular to the strip. In addition, compressed air is delivered to the treatment station via a funnel-shaped channel downstream of the station to remove excess dye from the yarn and to obtain a clean well-defined dyed area on the strip. A similar funnel-shaped channel upstream of the treatment station serves to seal the elongated channel against the treatment medium. Also, an exhaust channel is provided to remove excess treatment medium and air.
Abstract:
Coating receptacle means is defined by vertically extending walls and an open bottom. Scraper means operatively associated with the open bottom and a moving surface carrying coating liquid effects transfer of the liquid from said moving surface and upwardly through the receptacle. Means pass linear elements through an upper portion of said receptacle and thereby through the coating liquid.
Abstract:
MEANS TO COAT INDIVIDUAL STRANDS. OVEN MEANS INCLUDING A PLURALITY OF TUBULAR DRIERS, ARRANGED IN PARALLEL AND HAVING DRY GAS FLOWING COUNTER CURRENT TO THE DIRECTION OF STRAND TRAVEL, RECEIVE EACH AN INDIVIDUAL COATED STRAND. MEANS PROVIDE LTERAL MOTION TO EACH STRAND WHILE IN THE DRIER AND MEANS COMBINE AND COLLECTS THE COMBINED STRAND.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for squeezing and/or drying a humid thread, particularly a textile thread, in the course of a treatment, such as dyeing, effected continuously on said thread during the rectilinear displacement thereof, wherein the humid thread is passed into a zone traversed by a current of air at a pressure much lower than the pressure prevailing about the thread during the operation having provoked it humidification. The invention also relates to an apparatus for continuously treating a thread, for example a textile thread, applying the process as described hereinabove.
Abstract:
A method for continuously processing a thread-like material with a plurality of method steps and a device for carrying out the method, wherein a feed mechanism (10), a treating (35) and depositing device (36), a transporting device (14), a thermosetting mechanism (32) and a length compensating mechanism (37) are arranged in a common closed system (5) and the closed system (5) differs from the surroundings in its interior by at least one first physical property and sub-systems (31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 37) that are shielded from one another are present within the system (5) for the various method steps, to which sub-systems supply mechanisms (25, 26, 27) are connected, which produce at least partially different temperatures in the sub-systems (31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 37) as the second physical property.
