Abstract: A system described herein may receive traffic throughput metrics and energy consumption metrics associated with one or more elements of a wireless network, and compute granular (e.g., per-network slice, per-network element, per-protocol, per-layer, etc.) measures of energy efficiency associated with the one or more one or more elements. The system may determine network parameter modifications based on the granular measures of energy efficiency, and/or provide such measures of energy efficiency to the one or more network elements, which may grant access to UEs 109 based on the granular measures of energy efficiency. The one or more network elements may make network parameter modifications based on the granular measures of energy efficiency, such as activating “sleep” or “suspend” modes, and/or otherwise performing energy saving techniques.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein employ an allocation and retention priority for user equipment (UE), referred to as a UE ARP. The UE ARP may be defined per network slice, such that a subscriber can have different priority in different slices. According to one implementation, a network device receives, from a UE device, a registration request requesting access to a network slice and obtains a UE ARP. The UE ARP associates the UE device with a priority level on the network slice. When the network device determines that a maximum number of terminals are using the network slice, it applies the priority level in the UE ARP to grant or deny the UE device access to the network slice.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for network slice selection during an initial connection. A wireless station receives, from a core network device, network slice data for each network slice available via the wireless station, wherein the network slice data includes a slice identifier and corresponding slice characteristics for each network slice. The wireless station receives, from a user equipment (UE) device, a registration request message that indicates a network slice characteristic required by an application being executed on UE device. The wireless station selects, based on the network slice data from the core network device and the network slice characteristic from the UE device, one of the slice identifiers for servicing the UE device.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a private network management service for enterprise networks with wireless access. The systems and methods receive, within a provider network and from a user of a private network, parameters for multiple subscription profiles; associate the multiple subscription profiles with an identifier for the private network to create private network subscription profiles; store the private network subscription profiles; and provide at least a portion of the private network subscription profiles from a core network of the provider network to an authentication proxy in the private network. Abstract: A device receives a call invitation message with a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer for establishing a call between a calling party and a called party and obtains a set of network fallback rules associated with the called party. The device determines, based on the set of network fallback rules, whether to reject the call and avoid network fallback from a first wireless network to a second wireless network. The device sends, based on the determination, a call denial message without an SDP answer, to reject the call and avoid the network fallback.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the network-implemented detection of locations that exhibit excessive density of individuals, and/or for the detection of individuals who do not maintain a minimum level of distance between each other. Location information of one or more User Equipment (“UEs”) may be monitored and compared to policy information to determine that the locations exhibit at least a threshold level of population density. Further, remedial measures may be taken when such situations are detected, such as alerting devices that are located within, or are heading towards, such locations.
