Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first device may transmit an indication of a first set of signal strength metrics for signal strengths of transmit beams of a second device using receive beams of the first device and a second set of signal strength metrics for signal strengths of transmit beams of the first device using the receive beams of the first device. The first device may determine, for one or more signal strength metrics in the first set of signal strength metrics, the second set of signal strength metrics, or both, a change in the corresponding signal strength. The first device may transmit, based at least in part on the determining, an indication of the change in the corresponding signal strength for each of the one or more signal strength metrics.

Abstract: Aspects relate to assisted beam management between frequency bands that each utilize spatially directional beams. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive a plurality of first transmit beams on each of a plurality of first receive beams within a first frequency band to select at least one first beam pair link in the first frequency band. The UE may then receive a plurality of second transmit beams on each of a plurality of second receive beams within a second frequency band different than the first frequency band to select a second beam pair link in the second frequency band on which to communicate with a transmission and reception point. Each of the second transmit or receive beams has a respective spatial direction within a spatial direction of at least one of the first transmit or receive beams of the first beam pair links.

Abstract: Aspects of disclosure relate to dynamically modifying a synchronization signal block (SSB) beam configuration in a wireless communication system. In an aspect, a UE receives, from a base station, a first message triggering the UE to measure a signal strength of SSB beams transmitted from the base station. The UE then sends, to the base station, a second message including a report of the signal strength of the SSB beams and receives, from the base station, a third message indicating at least an SSB beam of the SSB beams or a quasi-colocation (QCL) type to use based on the report. The UE then establishes a connection with the base station using an indicated SSB beam or QCL type.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station (BS) may determine a first planned transmit beam configuration of the first BS. The BS may obtain a second planned transmit beam configuration of a second BS. Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to reducing the signaling overhead for configuring a common reference signal used in performing coarse power control of multiple spatial domain multiplexing (SDM) uplink streams are provided. A base station may be in communication with a UE via multiple SDM streams directed from the same panel of the respective device. The base station may configure a common pathloss reference signal for the SDM streams of the same panel for the UE. This may include sending a list of possible pathloss reference signal configurations to the UE, and then identifying which configuration to use for the pathloss reference signal for the group of SDM streams. Once known, the UE may measure the reference signal for open loop power control. The BS may occasionally reconfigure the common reference signal for the grouped SDM streams.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or base station) may reduce a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) by clipping signals transmitted to a receiving device according to a clipping level. The receiving device may receive, from the transmitting device, an indication of the clipping level associated with a reference signal. The receiving device may receive the reference signal and identify distortions based on the clipping level. The receiving device may iteratively reconstruct peaks of the clipped reference signal until the receiving device is able to obtain accurate pilot symbols for use in channel estimation. The techniques described herein may enable receiving devices to improve efficiency and reliability of communications by improving channel estimation, which may increase the probability of successfully decoding transmitted information.
