    Abstract: Scheduling with split symbols for beam management is described. An apparatus is configured to receive, from a network node, DL signaling including a symbol in a first slot, and to measure a first measurement of a first beam during a first time portion, and a second measurement of a second beam during a second different time portion, of the symbol. The apparatus is configured to communicate, with the network node, using the first or second beam based on at least one of the first measurement or the second measurement. Another apparatus is configured to provide, for a UE, DL signaling including a symbol in a first slot, and to communicate, with the UE, using the first or second beam based on a first and/or second measurement. The first and second measurements are of first and second beams during a first and second different time portions of the symbol, respectively.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may measure a signal strength for each beam of a set of multiple beams. The UE may select, from the set of multiple beams, a set of two or more beams each having a respective signal strength satisfying a threshold. The UE may attempt to decode a first broadcast channel signal of a first beam of the set of two or more beams in a single broadcast channel period. The UE may decode, after failing to decode the first broadcast channel signal of the first beam, a second broadcast channel signal of a second beam of the set of two or more beams in the single broadcast channel period.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to generation of N-port dynamic beams. For example, a user equipment (UE) may be using a 2-port predefined receive beam for communication with a wireless node. The UE may estimate a channel using the predefined receive beam to measure a rank2 reference signal received from the wireless node. The UE may generate a dynamic beam weight to maximize a communication parameter based on the estimated channel. The UE may then apply the dynamic beam weight to an antenna array.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support techniques for transmission power determination for radio frequency (RF) exposure compliance. A transmitting device, such as a user equipment (UE) may determine an uplink transmit power limit for a time window based on an RF limit and a duration of the time window. The device may use the power limit to determine an uplink transmit power based on a computed uplink transmission period for the time window that accounts for a time period during which the device is expected to actually transmit. The computed uplink transmission period may be based on one or more actual uplink transmission periods during one or more prior time windows, a predictive model, network signaling, or any combinations thereof. The device may transmit one or more uplink transmissions during the time window using the determined uplink transmit power.
