Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to on-demand ultra-reliable, low-latency communication (URLLC) are provided. In one embodiment, a base station (BS) receives, from a user equipment (UE) in a first cell frequency, a request for a protocol data unit (PDU) session over a network slice. The BS receives, from a core network entity, a resource configuration request for the PDU session over the network slice. The BS transmits, to the core network entity, a resource configuration response indicating a cause for rejecting the resource configuration request. In one embodiment, a UE transmits, in a first cell frequency of a network, a network registration request message requesting a network slice of the network that is not provided by the first cell frequency. The UE receives a network registration response message indicating the network slice is allowed based on a second cell frequency of the network providing the network slice requested.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes determining whether a network slice-specific authentication and authorization (NSSAA) procedure is complete. The method also includes transmitting a protocol data unit (PDU) session request to attempt establishing a PDU session without providing an Single-NSSAI when the NSSAA procedure is complete. A method for wireless communications, by an access and mobility management function (AMF) includes determining whether all default network slices for a user equipment (UE) are subject to network slice-specific authentication and authorization (NSSAA). The method also initiates NSSAA on the default network slices when all default network slices are subject to NSSAA.

Abstract: One aspect relates to initiating, by a device, a connection with an application server associated with one or more application services. A gateway derives an uplink network token and/or a downlink network token. The tokens are provisioned to the device and/or an application server over the user-plane. The tokens are included with uplink and/or downlink packets, respectively. Another aspect relates to receiving a data packet at a gateway. The gateway determines a requirement for a network token from the packet. The gateway derives the network token based on a device subscription profile maintained by a network. The network token may be sent with the packet to a destination address associated with the packet. A packet including a network token may be received at a gateway. The gateway may verify the network token and send the data packet to an application server or a device if the verifying is successful.

Abstract: Exchange of flight path information between a mobile network and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assumes a particular format for the flight path information, usually a waypoint format. However, there are many circumstances in which the mobile network may prefer flight path information in other formats, such as polygon formats (also referred to as “flight volume formats”). Techniques and apparatuses described herein provide greater flexibility with respect to formatting requests for flight path information and encoding responses to such requests. For example, a base station may transmit a request for flight path information with a format indicator that informs a UAV of a desired format for the requested flight path information. The UAV may then provide the flight path information according to the format indicator.
