Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a dual connectivity configuration for a plurality of communication links, where at least one communication link of the plurality of communication links includes a sidelink. The UE may transmit a report based on an event associated with the sidelink. In some cases, the UE may determine the event associated with the sidelink based on identifying an activation of the at least one additional sidelink carrier, establishing a relay communication link between the UE and a relay network node, measuring a set of path loss values, determining a minimum path loss value of the measured set of path loss values, determining a backoff value for one or more sidelink carriers, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communications in a wireless network during handover and/or dual connectivity operations are provided. A user equipment (UE) transmits, to a first base station (BS), a first communication signal based on a first time-division multiplexed (TDM) configuration. The UE transmits, to a second BS different from the first BS, a second communication signal, the second communication signal being multiplexed with the first communication signal based on the first TDM configuration. The UE transmits, to the first BS, a third communication signal based on a second TDM configuration different from the first TDM configuration. The first TDM configuration and the second TDM configuration are associated with a handover from the first BS to the second BS. The UE transmits, to the second BS, a fourth communication signal, the fourth communication signal being multiplexed with the third communication signal based on the second TDM configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) (e.g., a relay UE) may establish a relay connection for routing communications between a network entity (e.g., a base station) and a second UE (e.g., a remote UE). The relay connection may include a sidelink connection and an access link connection. The remote UE may transmit a request to the network entity via the relay UE. The request may include a relay service code associated with the sidelink connection, as well as a request for quality of service (QoS) support for the relay connection. Based on the request, the network entity may determine a QoS configuration for the relay connection. The network entity may indicate the QoS configuration to the UEs via the relay connection. The UEs may adjust parameters of the relay connection to meet the specifications of the QoS configuration.

    PROXIMITY SERVICE MULTI-HOP RELAY CONFIGURATION

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for the configuration and operation of a multi-hop relay at different layers to enable a remote user equipment (UE) to act as a relay for a client UE that may be out of coverage of a network. For example, a network relay UE may establish a communication link with the network, and the network relay UE may transmit, to a remote UE, a relay configuration that authorizes the remote UE as a multi-hop relay to provide a connection to the network for one or more other UEs. The remote UE may transmit an acknowledgement to the network relay UE in response to receiving the relay configuration, and the remote UE may then transmit a relay discovery message including multi-hop relay information based on receiving the relay configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for management of conditional handover (CHO) configurations. A source base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with one or more CHO configurations for multiple target base stations. The CHO configurations may provide, for each target base station, one or more associated conditions that may trigger the UE to initiate a handover to the particular target base station, or to deconfigure a CHO configuration, such as based on a measurement threshold of one or more target base station measurements, one or more source base station measurements, or combinations thereof. The CHO configurations may also include failure handling information for initiating one or more subsequent handovers responsive to a failure of an initial handover attempt.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications system may support multi-connectivity for a user equipment (UE) with multiple distributed units (DUs) under one central unit (CU), the DUs and the CU belonging to a base station. The UE may establish radio resource control (RRC) connections with multiple cell groups corresponding to multiple DUs under the CU. The UE may transmit measurement reports that provide measurement information for cells in proximity to the UE. The UE may maintain a set of active cell groups and a set of inactive cell groups. In some cases, one or more cell groups may be identified as controlling cell groups used to transmit control information. In some examples, the UE may replicate an uplink packets and transmit the uplink packet and replicates on multiple cell groups. In some cases, the UE may aggregate an uplink transmission among multiple cell groups.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to optimistic QoS setup. A network element receives an IP packet that is not associated with a QoS request on a bearer for an application/service executing on a target client device, and initiates QoS activation for the target client device based on a combination of an application-specific identifier from the target client device and a user-specific identifier of the application/service. A server receives a session setup request that is not associated with a QoS request for an application/service executing on a target client device, the session setup request identifying one or more client devices to participate in a session, and initiates QoS activation for at least one of the client devices, before a session announcement is transmitted to the client devices, based on a combination of an application-specific identifier from the target client device and a user-specific identifier of the application/service.
