Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to devices for coordinating resource usage. A scheduled device receives a downlink control information (DCI) grant from a scheduling device, the DCI grant identifying scheduled resources for communicating data. The scheduled device decides whether the DCI grant is acceptable for communicating the data and sends an acknowledgement to the scheduling device based on the decision and information associated with the DCI grant. The scheduled device communicates the data via the scheduled resources when the DCI grant is decided to be acceptable. A scheduling device transmits the DCI grant to the scheduled device and receives the acknowledgement from the scheduled device based on the information associated with the DCI grant. The acknowledgement indicates whether the DCI grant is acceptable for communicating the data. The scheduling device communicates the data via scheduled resources identified in the DCI grant when the DCI grant is indicated to be acceptable.

Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to determining which beam parameters to use for wireless communication. For example, a wireless communication device may use one beam selection procedure for a non-persistent communication and another beam selection procedure for a semi-persistent communication. For the non-persistent communication, a transmission configuration signaled with control scheduling or a default transmission configuration may specify the beam configuration for the communication. For the semi-persistent communication, a recently used transmission configuration may specify the beam configuration for the communication. An apparatus may determine that a channel is persistently scheduled, determine a transmission configuration for a transmission based on a resource set associated with a transmission time, and receive information based on the determined transmission configuration. An apparatus may identify a resource set, acquire a transmission configuration of the resource set, and receive information on the channel based on the transmission configuration.

Abstract: A node for wireless communication identifies a number of actually transmitted reference signals. The node identifies a number of available PRACH time-frequency resources and preamble indices in a time period. The node identifies a number of configured PRACH time-frequency resources or PRACH preamble indices per reference signal. The node determines that the available number of PRACH time-frequency resources or PRACH preamble indices within the time period is not an integer multiple of the product of the number of actually transmitted reference signals and the number of configured PRACH time-frequency resources or PRACH preamble indices per reference signal. The node maps the actually transmitted reference signals to the available PRACH time-frequency resources and preamble indices based on the identified information and determination.

Abstract: To synchronize an apparatus during wireless communication, an apparatus may transmit a Random Access Channel (RACH) preamble sequence to a base station. However, care must be taken to prevent the RACH preamble sequence from causing inadequate levels of interference in other uplink resources. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to determine, based on a RACH subcarrier spacing and a data tone subcarrier spacing, a number of RACH tones allocated for a transmission of a RACH preamble sequence. In this manner, the apparatus may ensure that adequate uplink resources are allocated to prevent interference.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink grant that does not include a downlink assignment index (DAI); determine a pre-defined bundle window, associated with ACK/NACK multiplexing or bundling, based at least in part on receiving the downlink grant that does not include the DAI; and transmit ACK/NACK feedback to acknowledge or negatively acknowledge one or more downlink communications received in the pre-defined bundle window. In some aspects, a UE may receive a downlink grant that does not include a DAI; determine a bundle window, associated with ACK/NACK multiplexing or bundling, based at least in part on receiving the downlink grant that does not include the DAI, wherein the bundle window is not pre-defined; and transmit ACK/NACK feedback to acknowledge or negatively acknowledge one or more downlink communications received in the bundle window. Numerous other aspects are provided.
