A fuel pump assembly having a vapor by-pass port communicating a pump chamber with the interior of a fuel tank, which comprises a vapor introducing passage for introducing the vapor-mixed fuel discharged through the vapor by-pass port, a vapor discharge port communicating with the midway of the vapor introducing passage and opening to the interior of the fuel tank, and a bag-like closed space formed on a rear half portion of the vapor introducing passage. The vapor discharge noise is effectively reduced with the construction.
Abstract:
Cationically electrodepositable (gelled) fine particles using, as the base, an epoxy resin-amine adduct having hydrolysable alkoxysilane groups, and a cationic electrodeposition paint composition comprising said fine particles. Said fine particles give a paint film having excellent corrosion resistance and are useful as a rheology-controlling agent for cationic electrodeposition paint. Said electrodeposition paint composition has an excellent edge-covering property, and a paint film formed therewith on an article to be coated can give improved corrosion resistance to the edges of said article and has good surface smoothness.
Abstract:
A method for hydrocracking a heavy fraction oil which comprises cracking a heavy fraction oil in the coexistence of a catalyst and a hydrogen donating solvent such as tetralin while adding a hydrogen-containing gas to the cracking reactor thereby inhibiting the formation of carbonaceous substances and precursors thereof and then hydrogenating the reaction products in the presence of a solid catalyst while adding a hydrogen-containing gas to the hydrogenating reactor thereby to convert the toluene-insoluble carbonaceous substances and precursors thereof to toluene-soluble ones, thus causing no clogging in an apparatus used.
Abstract:
An intake air throttling system for a diesel engine comprising an air intake passage. The system includes a throttling valve mounted in the air intake passage so as to selectively throttle air flow through it. This throttling valve can be positioned to at least a first position in which it substantially fully closes the air intake passage, a second position in which it partly throttles the air intake passage to a substantial extent but does not fully close it, and a third position in which it does not throttle the air intake passage to any substantial extent. The throttling valve is controlled by a control system, which positions it to the first position when the engine is being stopped, which positions it to the second position when the engine is being idled, and which positions it to the third position when the engine is being operated in non idling load bearing operational condition. Thereby, when the engine is being stopped, the cutoff of intake air reduces stopping vibration considerably, while when the engine is being idled the partial but substantial throttling of intake air reduces idling vibration and reduces wandering of engine idling speed; and both these effects are accomplished by the use of one throttling valve.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fire extinguisher which comprises vessels (1, 18)filled with a fire extinguishing solution, an actuating element that breaks the vessels to eject the solution due to the occurance of fire. The actuating element is retracted against the force of a spring by a holder which is locked by a set screw (41) for exerting a pressure thereto through a heat fusible element (42) for fire detection so that the heat fusible element (42) is placed perpetually under compression. Since the heat fusible element (42) is normally subjected to compression, the element is less liable to deterioration with time.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device including a non-volatile memory cell including a writing transistor which includes an oxide semiconductor, a reading transistor which includes a semiconductor material different from that of the writing transistor, and a capacitor is provided. Data is written or rewritten to the memory cell by turning on the writing transistor and supplying a potential to a node where a source electrode (or a drain electrode) of the writing transistor, one electrode of the capacitor, and a gate electrode of the reading transistor are electrically connected to each other, and then turning off the writing transistor so that the predetermined amount of charge is held in the node. Further, when a transistor whose threshold voltage is controlled and set to a positive voltage is used as the reading transistor, a reading potential is a positive potential.
Abstract:
In a system operations management apparatus, a burden to a system administrator when providing a decision criterion in detection of a failure in the future is reduced. The system operations management apparatus 1 includes a performance information accumulation unit 12, a model generation unit 30 and an analysis unit 31. The performance information accumulation unit 12 stores performance information including a plurality of types of performance values in a system in time series. The model generation unit 30 generates a correlation model including one or more correlations between the different types of performance values stored in the performance information accumulation unit 12 for each of a plurality of periods having one of a plurality of attributes. The analysis unit 31 performs abnormality detection of the performance information of the system which has been inputted by using the inputted performance information and the correlation model corresponding to the attribute of a period in which the inputted performance information has been acquired.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device including a first transistor and a second transistor and a capacitor which are over the first transistor is provided. A semiconductor layer of the second transistor includes an offset region. In the second transistor provided with an offset region, the off-state current of the second transistor can be reduced. Thus, a semiconductor device which can hold data for a long time can be provided.
Abstract:
A fiber optic cable fixture 1 has a joint member 3, a swaging member 4, and a fastening member 5. The joint member 3 has a cylindrical shape in which a through hole 10 is formed and includes a joint section 11 joined to another member, a male screw 12, and a cylindrical section 13 that is smaller in diameter than the male screw 12 and that is covered with a jacket 7 and tension fibers. The swaging member 4 is fitted to the cylindrical section 13 while covered with the jacket 7. A female screw 16 is formed at one end of an inner peripheral surface of the fastening member 5. A tapered surface 17 is formed on another end of the inner peripheral surface of the fastening member 5.
