    摘要: A television multiplexing system which includes a circuit that inserts a digital coded sync signal and a digital code into a video signal for identifying the channel from which the video signal was generated so that a plurality of signals can be sent over a single hard-line. The digital sync signal and the digital coded signals are generated by a single crystal controlled clock so that they are always in synchronism with each other. In demultiplexing the signals so as to feed the video signal to a proper recording channel the sync signals are utilized for shifting the digital coded signals into a shift register and the shift register, in turn, activates a decoder according to the code stored in the shift register for selecting the proper recording disc or receiver for storing the video signal.

    摘要: An image sensor bridge interface is provided. The interface is situated between an image sensor and a processor. The interface comprises an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit comprises a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) decoupled from both image signals provided from the image sensor and a processor connected to the integrated circuit. The FPGA separates Ultraviolet (UV) and Infrared (IR) data values from image sensor-provided image data and embeds the UV and IR data values within the horizontal blanking, vertical blanking, and/or active video components of a video feed. The video feed provided from the integrated circuit to the processor using a standard video interface, and the processor providing the video feed or providing UV images, IR images, and Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) images separated from the video feed to a computing core of a host device.

    摘要: A synchronisation of the presentation or reproduction of video data with audio data is described, which data each are processed on two non-synchronised computers. An MPEG-type stream is separated into video data and audio data, wherein the video data is processed utilising the first processing means and the audio data is timestamped and forwarded to the second processing means which compares the received time-stamp to the local time. The transmission time periods of sending audio data packets from the first processing means to the second processing means are calculated based on the local system time and timestamp is inserted into the audio data packets. Subsequently, synchronised audio and video presentation or reproduction is performed.

The first frequency divider divides a first frequency of the input clock by a first divisor to generate a reference signal. The second frequency divider divides a second frequency of the output clock by a second divisor to generate a feedback signal. The clock recovery unit is coupled to the first frequency divider and the second frequency divider, for re-building and providing the output clock according to the reference signal and the feedback signal. The tuning circuit is coupled to the PLL circuit, for tuning at least one of the first divisor and the second divisor of the PLL circuit according to a buffer status information of a data buffer.

    摘要: Apparatus is provided by which a television viewer can view other images e.g. during commercials or main program. For example, during a commercial, a viewer may channel surf or surf the internet. A banner is provided on a viewing screen while the viewer watches these other images. In this way the advertiser providing those commercials can still reach those viewers who are channel or internet surfing. Also, the banner will indicate to the viewer when the commercial is over and the normal programming has resumed. In another embodiment, during the main program user can activate one or more small commercial windows and position them on the screen based on his preference, e.g. using a remote device. Information is communicated to a broadcaster by the viewer's video system indicating the above-mentioned commercial windows are open on the viewer's screen. When each commercial window is positioned on the screen the viewer receives compensation based on the amount of time the commercial windows are displaying commercials to the viewer. All or part of commercial windows automatically close when a main commercial block starts. The commercial windows automatically open when the main commercial block finishes. In one embodiment, the viewer can turn the commercial windows ON/OFF on his discretion
