摘要: Disclosed are examples of lighting devices and other devices that are equipped with a cellular transceiver that is configured to communicate using cellular radio frequency spectrum in both a small-scale cellular network and a large-scale cellular communication network. By utilizing a short-range, low-power cellular transceiver setting, a lighting device facilitates communication, within the space in which the lighting device is installed, of messages between the lighting device and other types of user devices. Such an equipped lighting device may be configured to participate in the generation and delivery of different types of messages, such as data, emergency broadcast information, news and other information. Such a lighting device also may be configured to extend the reach of devices within the space in which the equipped lighting devices are located.

摘要: In one embodiment, a terminal of a first wireless communication network determines a protection zone for each of a plurality of unintended receivers of a second wireless communication network, where a protection zone defines a geographical area where transmission by the terminal might interfere with operation of a corresponding unintended receive. At the time of an attempted transmission, the terminal determines its current location, and whether the current location is within any protection zone of the plurality of unintended receivers. If not within any protection zone of the plurality of unintended receivers, the terminal performs the transmission, but if so, then the terminal may then perform a local assessment of interference to the one or more unintended receivers. Once concluding that there would be no interference with any of the one or more unintended receivers, the terminal may then perform the transmission. Otherwise, the terminal prevents the transmission.

摘要: Systems and methods including a mobile device determining the coordinates of its location using a location determination system, such as a global positioning system. A database stores the identifiers of cells representative of predefined regions in a hierarchical grid system. A server computer or the mobile device converts the coordinates of the location to one or more cell identifiers at different grid resolution levels and searches the database to find a match between the cell identifiers representing the regions and the cell identifiers representing the location of the mobile device to determine one or more regions in which the mobile device is located. For example, the hierarchical grid system can be constructed in a longitude latitude space of location coordinates, with resolution levels aligned with decimal precision levels of the location coordinates; and the cell identifiers can be constructed from the digits of the longitude and latitude coordinates.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique which combines a 5G (5th Generation) communication system, for supporting a higher data transmission rate following 4G (4th Generation) systems, with IoT (Internet of Things) technology, and to a system for the communication technique. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security, and safety-related services), based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. The present invention relates to a method and device for receiving broadcast information by means of a terminal in a communication system. The method for receiving broadcast information by means of a terminal in a communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the processes of: receiving a signal including broadcast information from a base station; using a repeating pattern of the signal and determining a value for autocorrelation; determining whether coverage enhancement is supported by the base station on the basis of the value for the autocorrelation; acquiring the broadcast information through decoding of the signal when the base station supports coverage enhancement; and moving to another cell or another center frequency and implementing initial connection when the base station does not support coverage enhancement.

摘要: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing wireless communications, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing ad hoc wireless capacity modification. In various embodiments, a computing system might identify at least one geographic area having at least one of weak wireless communications coverage or non-existent wireless communications coverage, might deploy one or more vehicles to the identified at least one geographic area, each of the one or more vehicles comprising a mobile wireless base station, and might establish wireless network communications between the mobile wireless base station of at least one vehicle of the one or more vehicles and at least one wireless network node of a telecommunications network that is one of proximate to or within the at least one geographic area. The one or more vehicles might comprise manned and/or unmanned vehicles, including drones.
