摘要: This can prevent declination in the operational efficiency due to the stop motion of an engine at the cancellation of the interconnection and minimize loads exerted on the startup device for the engine. A system protector 138 is provided for generating a fault signal when detecting a fault on the system source. Upon receiving the fault signal, an interconnection relay 135 is opened to cancel the interconnection and simultaneously, a timer 39 is started. The cancellation permits the engine 11 to run with no load. When the fault signal is maintained until the setting duration of the timer 39 is timed up, a time-out signal is released to stop the engine 11. On the other hand, when the fault signal is eliminated by canceling the cause of the fault before the setting duration of the timer 39 is passed, the interconnection relay 135 is closed to establish the interconnection again and the timer 39 is reset.

摘要: In an apparatus for detecting a rotation by utilizing a residual magnetism remaining in a core, when a field current attenuates gradually through a current return diode during a deceleration period for the stop of rotation, there occurs an AC demagnetizing action which causes the field current to attenuate, so that also during the deceleration period, the supply of electric power to a control circuit and field current to a field coil are continued.

摘要: Shift means shifts a rotation speed range to a low rotation speed side based on an electricity amount related to rotation speed. In the rotation speed range, driving torque of a generator is suddenly changes as a result of an increase of duty ratio of a switch due to a shortage of generation capacity caused by a reduction of a rotation speed of a vehicle alternator. Preferably, the shift means shifts the rotation speed range to the low rotation speed side by changing the adjust voltage based on the electricity amount related to rotation speed while the rotation speed is reduced.

摘要: A battery performance monitoring system anticipates the sudden fall of battery output. The system measures the battery voltage at a time point when the discharge current of a battery becomes smaller than the reference current value or at a time point when the current to the load which is connected to the battery becomes smaller than the reference current value, and judges the battery to be abnormal if the difference of the measured battery voltage from the approximate formula in regard to the current-voltage relation in the former half of a same discharge event becomes out of the reference range.

摘要: In an alternator, failure in a power supply line connected to an output terminal of a rectifier is detected. Upon detection of a failure in this power supply line, power generation is suppressed for a predetermined period that is longer than the time constant of a field winding of the alternator. Preferably, a high voltage pulse is detected to discriminate a first condition where a single high voltage pulse is generated when an electrical load connected to the power supply line is cut off and a second condition where a high voltage pulse is repeatedly and frequently generated when a failure occurs in the power supply line. Only when the second condition is discriminated, power generation suppression control of the alternator is conducted.

摘要: A power electronic based DR (distributed resource e.g., a UPS (uninterrupted power supply), Fuel Cell or Microturbine) is controlled to emulate a voltage source behind an impedance and behave as a power system stabilizer. The impedance in the DR is emulated and an estimate of impedance at the power/electronic interface is derived and applied to the control of the DR in a manner wherein the power and voltage swings on systems (loads) that otherwise would have difficulty with dynamic loads, are stabilized. Damping and synchronizing power are provided measuring only voltage, current and frequency at the interface between the DR and the load. The DR may include some energy storage.

摘要: Apparatus for the transfer of electric power produced by at least one multi-phase alternating-current generator (1) or generator unit into at least one multi-phase alternating-current power network (UU,UV,UW), said apparatus comprising at least one control unit (4), at least one non-controlled rectifier bridge (2), a direct-current intermediate circuit and at least one controlled inverter bridge (3) for supplying d.c. power into an alternating-current power network, said inverter bridge (3) having fully gate-controlled semiconductor switches (V11-V16) in its upper and lower branches, and said control unit controlling the semiconductor switches (V11-V16) of the inverter bridge (3) so as to cause them to conduct in such manner that: in the upper branch, the switch in each phase conducts substantially as long as the instantaneous value of the network phase voltage (UU,UV,UW) in question is the most positive, and in the lower branch, correspondingly the switch in each phase conducts substantially as long as the instantaneous value of the network phase voltage (UU,UV,UW) in question is the most negative. The rectifier bridge (2) is connected directly to the inverter bridge (3) without a d.c. capacitor unit functioning as an intermediate energy storage. In addition, the direct current output from the rectifier bridge (2) is conducted directly into those two a.c. network phases in which the magnitudes of the instantaneous values of the voltages are highest, without current limitation by an inductor unit.

摘要: In a vehicle generator control which detects an abnormal operating condition of a generator of a vehicle, and includes a transistor which drives a charging lamp to emit a warning indication when such a condition is detected, with the value of a quantity indicative of the flow of current through the charging lamp drive transistor being compared with a reference value, and with the transistor being set in a non-conducting state if the reference value is exceeded, a succession of respectively decreasing reference values is periodically generated. A timing of an initial flow of current through the charging lamp is controlled to be synchronized with the start of such a succession, so that the peak value of an initial surge current which flows through the charging lamp drive transistor is compared with the highest reference value. Complete protection can thereby be established for the charging lamp drive transistor against a flow of short-circuit current which would exceed any of the reference values.

摘要: A wound field synchronous machine control system comprises: an auxiliary winding for obtaining auxiliary AC voltage from the wound field synchronous machine; a phase controlled rectifier for rectifying the auxiliary AC voltage and supplying rectified DC voltage to the wound field synchronous machine; and a controller. The controller is configured for using a voltage signal across the auxiliary winding to obtain volt-second values of the auxiliary winding and using the volt-second values for firing angle control of switches of the phase controlled rectifier. Alternatively or additionally, the controller is configured for obtaining airgap flux values of the wound field synchronous machine and using the airgap flux values for firing angle control of switches of the phase controlled rectifier.
