Abstract:
Embodiments provide various saw chain links which may be combined to form a utility saw chain. In various other embodiments, cutting system fixtures are disclosed which may facilitate the cutting of pipes and other materials from an axis point.
Abstract:
A chainsaw includes: a body case 20 in which an engine for driving the chainsaw is accommodated; and a top handle 41 provided on an upper side of the body case 20. A fuel tank 7 for storing fuel of the engine is integrally provided to the top handle 41. A carburetor 6 is also provided to the top handle 41. The fuel tank 7 is disposed near the carburetor 6.
Abstract:
A cutting tool is provided having a marking feature to facilitate the cutting of materials at desired lengths. The tool includes a laser that provides a beam for marking the material at a determined length based on the angle that the beam forms with the cutting axis of the tool. The tool may be configured so that the beam can be emitted on either side of the tool. The tool may be reconfigured so that the angle of the beam relative to the cutting axis of the tool is selectively adjustable.
Abstract:
A chain saw includes a body in which an engine for driving a saw chain is laterally housed; a top handle provided above the body; and a muffler arranged below the engine, in which an exhaust outlet for discharging exhaust from the body side to the outside opens forward from the body side. Accordingly, not only the exhaust can be discharged forward from the side of the body, but also the exhaust sound can be propagated forward so that less exhaust sound is heard by the operator, thereby improving the work environment.
Abstract:
To improve an intake device (100) for a handheld tool implemented having an air cleaner, particularly for a chainsaw, a cuffing-off grinder, or the like, which comprises an internal combustion engine (25) and a drive unit (20) for the attachment, the air cleaner cleaning combustion air, which is charged with dirt particles, for the engine (25), in that a centrifugal separator (30) separates the combustion air into at least one first air flow (31), which is freed from dirt particles as much as possible, and a second air flow (32), which is loaded with dirt particles, in particular to cause higher efficiency of the intake device, it is suggested that a blower (10) be situated on the drive unit (20), which sucks in the second air flow (32), by which cooling of the drive unit (20) is caused.
Abstract:
A power tool can be split into two ends and a pole can be inserted between the two ends. Each end of the power tool has an electrical connector that maintains electrical communication between the two ends. When the ends are separated, the extension pole can be attached to each end and each end of the pole has electrical connectors so that the two ends stay in electrical communication even with the pole in place allowing the trigger and battery to maintain electrical connectivity with the motor and implement.

Abstract:
A chainsaw is provided having a brake band disposed about a drum that rotates during advancement of the saw chain about the saw bar. An end of the brake band is biased to a position that draws the brake band tight about the drum to prevent advancement of the saw chain, and the throttle trigger of the chainsaw is associated with this biased end to push the band against the bias and release the drum when the throttle trigger is squeezed to drive the elements of the chainsaw that serve to advance the saw chain. Also provided are new concepts for associating throttling and braking elements with the throttle trigger.
Abstract:
Handle (11) for a hand held engine powered tool comprising at least on lever or button for controlling the tool. The handle (11), and the tool fuel tank placed inside the handle, is made of at least two handle sections joined together. The levers or buttons for controlling the tool is however only secured in one of the handle sections (15, 16) in order to reduce the required grade of precision between the handle sections (15, 16) without affecting the performance of the levers and buttons.
Abstract:
An illumination means for a chainsaw is a light source generated for providing a focused beam at the bar and chain of a chainsaw. Illumination means is positioned at the front of the housing of a chainsaw. Illumination means may be integrally incorporated therein or placed onto the exterior of the housing, and may also include a pivotal shell for adjusting the projection of the light beam. Illumination means is operatively and electrically coupled to a switch that actuates generation of light.
