A slide member has resilient means for supporting the slide member resiliently movably within the socket member. The socket member and the slide member are provided with respective circular apertures and of substantially equal diameter which are brought out of registry to lock and into registry to unlock the plug member relative to the socket member.

摘要： Latch mechanisms for latching two bodies in both tension and shear. A longitudinally extending latching bolt is associated with a latching assembly having an overcenter link mechanism controlled by a lever. The overcenter link mechanism includes a slot cooperating with a pin to provide two effective lengths to the fully extended linkage. A laterally extending notch provides a shoulder intermediate the ends of the slot to receive the pin. A keeper is slidably associated with a keeper assembly to engage a recess in the longitudinally extending bolt to prevent its withdrawal from the keeper assembly. A locking surface in the recess engages the keeper. A slide member may extend over the recess so that the keeper is selectively prevented from engaging the recess for purposes of retracting the bolt.

摘要： A latch mechanism is presented which is useful with a machine which gathers crop material from a windrow and forms it into large round bales. The latching mechanism senses bale density while holding the opposing faces of the tailgate closed during the bale forming operation. Density is sensed by spring mounting the latch slides so that the tailgate comes slightly ajar when pressure in the baling chamber builds up. The amount of separation of the opposing faces of the tailgate is sensed and when it exceeds a specified amount, initiates a bale discharge sequence. The tailgate lifting mechanism is interlocked with the latch release to assure safe operation of the system.

It includes a pin tumbler cylinder lock so that the key can only be removed when the lock is in a locked position, a pinion engaging with a rack on a bolt adapted to be retained in a recess in the jamb of the door frame, when the door is closed, by a latching mechanism, lying perpendicular to the bolt. The latching mechanism is provided with a release mechanism whereby the door lock can be easily opened in an emergency by, for example, a child whereby the door can be quickly opened and the child escape through the door opening.

摘要： A tamperproof safety lock for securing a doorway is provided. The latch is pivotally mounted at one end to a plate which is secured to the inside surface of the door adjacent to the edge. A second plate is mounted on the door molding in alignment with the first plate. The distance between the two plates when the door is closed is such that the latch may pivot to bridge the gap between the two plates. The second plate includes a grooved latch stop. The groove within the latch stop is of a thickness greater than the thickness of the latch and receives the latch when it is pivoted to the locked position. The latch includes an opening adjacent the free end thereof in alignment with the latch stop. A portion of the latch stop is bored and receives a spring biased locking bolt which may be manually operated to extend into the groove and through the opening in the latch. The bolt thus prevents the latch from being rotated to the ''''open'''' position.

The connection system according to a specific embodiment comprises a slide-block which is housed within the box-staple, said slide-block being connected to motion-transmission means carried by the casing and terminating in a rocking-latch which forms part of the auxiliary lock.
