    摘要: A liquid level control device for monitoring the level of water in a steam generating tank between predetermined upper, intermediate, and lower levels, with the tank equipped with a valve for introducing water into the tank and heat energy valve means to generate steam to the water, comprising: a glass gauge tube adapted to be vertically mounted exteriorally of the tank; a top and bottom cover covering the ends of the glass gauge tube, with a bottom cover including an opening for communicating with a liquid in the tank and the top cover including an opening for communicating with steam generated in the tank; upper and lower magnetic float means mounted co-axially within the glass gauge tubes; the upper magnetic float means including means to activate the valve when the water is the region of the predetermined intermediate level so as to introduce water into the tank until the water is in the region of the predetermined upper level, and to deactivate the valve and stop the introduction of water when the water is in the region of the predetermined upper level; the lower magnetic float means is adapted to continuously maintain the application of heat energy during the introduction of water and activates the heat energy valve means to stop the application of heat energy in the steam generating tank when the water is in the region of the predetermined lower level.

    摘要: A fuel vapor generator capable of being incorporated within a carburetor having a housing defining a chamber at the bottom thereof. An input line is attached to the lower portion of the housing for introducing a liquid fuel into the chamber and a return line is also attached to the lower portion of the housing for removing any excess liquid from the chamber and returning the excess liquid to the chamber. Located within the chamber is a level regulating system which, by being operably connected to both the inlet and removal lines is capable of regulating the liquid level within the chamber. In addition, an atomizer is located within the chamber in order to spray the liquid fuel in mist form into the upper portion of the housing for vaporization thereof prior to introduction into the Venturi tube of a carburetor.

    摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for regulating the flow of solution from a fluid reservoir to the vein of a patient. All of the embodiments of the present invention include a first fluid chamber having an inlet and a discharge port and means disposed within a first fluid chamber for maintaining the level of solution therein between upper and lower levels. In all of the embodiments of the present invention, an upper and lower valve seat is provided within the first chamber which interacts with a float or floats contained therein to from two valve mechanisms which maintain a constant rate of flow of solution independent of the initial height or variations in height of solution contained within the reservoir during its depletion. In two of the embodiments of the present invention, a second fluid chamber is coupled to the first fluid chamber by means of a drip chamber which permits the visual counting of the rate of flow of solution from the first chamber to the second fluid chamber. The second fluid chamber is also provided with an intake and a discharge port that have valve seats disposed in close proximity thereto. A float is disposed within the second chamber for regulating the level of solution contained therein between an upper and a lower level. The float in combination with the valve seats forms upper and lower valve mechanisms which prevent the intake or discharge of solution from the second fluid chamber when the level of solution contained therein respectively reaches the upper and lower levels and maintains the rate of flow of solution through the second fluid chamber at the same rate maintained through the first fluid chamber. Additionally, the second fluid chamber regulates the flow rate of solution at all times within a rate of flow which may be safely tolerated by the patient.

    摘要: Apparatus for automatically timing the watering cycles of a sprinkling system. The apparatus includes a water tank with an inlet opening and a drain outlet and a float mechanism that opens and closes a master valve for the system in accordance with a fixed timing sequence. The float mechanism includes a center float flanked by first and second side floats, each slidably mounted to travel between upper and lower limits on a separate guide rod. Additionally, the float mechanism includes a first pivoted lever and a second pivoted lever. Slidably mounted on the top portion of the guide rod for the center float is a finger that extends upwardly into contact with the outer end of a control lever for the master valve. Water flows into the tank from a point downstream of the master valve and causes the side floats to rise. Eventually the first side float moves the first pivoted lever in a way which causes the center float to shut off the master valve by exerting force on the control lever through the finger. The tank then drains. When the tank is drained, the second side float moves the second pivoted lever in a way to effectuate opening of the master valve, and the tank starts filling again.
