The present invention is an air evacuation apparatus that prevents the accumulation of air inside a swimming pool or spa filter by allowing any air to be removed from inside the filter every time the swimming pool pump is turned on. By allowing air to be removed from the filter, the present invention prevents the build-up of dangerous levels of potential energy caused by compressed air inside the filter that can lead to the violent separation of the filter. More important, the air evacuation apparatus of the present invention allows air to be safely and automatically removed from inside of the filter without interfering with the functionality of the filter.

A breather cap assembly is provided which is configured to be connected to a stand-tube used in a watering system. When the watering system is in normal operation, the breather cap assembly is configured to allow for air to flow between the outside the assembly and the stand-tube. The breather cap assembly also provides for structure which acts as a baffle to minimize the introduction of foreign material from outside the breather cap assembly into the stand-tube. When the watering system is in flushing operation, the breather cap assembly is configured to seal off the stand-tube in order to minimize the possibility of water leaving the stand-tube. The breather cap assembly further also provides for structure which acts as a baffle to collect and retain a majority of any water that does leave the stand-tube during a flushing operation.

At least one secondary vent line is in fluid communication with the valve and extends from another one of the subcircuits. The primary and secondary vent lines are connectable to a shared third vent line which feeds into a compensating reservoir arranged at a geodetically highest point in the coolant circuit. The valve is constructed to establish a continuous fluid communication of the primary vent line with the compensating reservoir via the third vent line and to establish a fluid communication of the secondary vent line with the compensating reservoir via the third vent line only in the presence of air bubbles in the secondary vent line.

The check valve includes a sealing member that is disposed in a chamber. The chamber is in fluid communication with ambient air and a fluid container, such as a rear return manifold in the fryer system. As fluid, such as cooking oil, is supplied to the manifold, the cooking oil rises in the chamber of the floating check valve. The sealing member floats on the rising cooking oil until it seats in a seal so as to close the fluid communication with ambient. When the cooking oil is drained from the manifold, the sealing member disengages from the seal and floats in the chamber to a retainer that allows ambient air to pass through the fluid communications and chamber to counteract any vacuum in the ullage of the manifold.

When liquid enters the chamber, the body floats upward in the liquid and if the chamber fills with liquid, blocks the opening to prevent the discharge of liquid from the device. Liquid prevented from flowing out of chamber 22, flows back into the fuel tank when fluid is no longer being delivered into the device.
