    摘要: The present invention provides novel siloxane iniferter compounds, block copolymers made therewith, and a method of making the block copolymers. The siloxane iniferter compounds can be represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein T and X are organic groups selected so that the T-X bond is capable of dissociating upon being subjected to an appropriate energy source to form a terminator free radical of the formula T.multidot. and an initiator free radical;R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are monovalent moieties selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy and aryl which can be the same or are different;R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are monovalent moieties which can be the same or different selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 fluoroalkyl including at least one fluorine atom and aryl;Y is selected from the group consisting of --X--T and --Z wherein X and T are defined above and Z is an organic moiety that will not dissociate to form free radicals when subjected to said energy source; andm is an integer of at least 10.

    摘要: The present invention provides novel siloxane iniferter compounds, block copolymers made therewith, and a method of making the block copolymers. The terminator free radical is insufficiently capable of initiating free radical polymerization of free radically polymerizable monomer but is capable of rejoining with the initiator free radical or a free radical polymer segment free radically polymerized with the initiator free radical.

    摘要: A novel glycidyl sulfonamide compound having a (poly)siloxane main chain of its molecule is used alone or in admixture with an epoxy resin to give a cured material being excellent in flexibility, elongation and impact strength without deteriorating thermal resistance, chemical resistance and water absorption thereof. An epoxy resin composition or a resin composition for an epoxy paint containing a glycidyl sulfonamide compound, the epoxy resin and a curing agent for epoxy resin provides a cured material or a coating film having the above-mentioned excellent properties. A process for preparing a glycidyl sulfonamide compound characterized in that subjecting an amine modified silicone having a (poly)siloxane main chain of its molecule to condensation reaction with a sulfonyl chloride to give a sulfonamide compound, which is subjected to an addition reaction with an epihalohydrin to give the glycidyl sulfonamide compound.

    摘要: Novel halogen-substituted phthalimides are provided which are the reaction product of a halogenated phthalic anhydride with an alkoxylated amine or the reaction product of a halogenated phthalic anhydride with a siloxy amine. The halogen-substituted phthalimides are useful in increasing the flame retardancy of thermoplastic and thermosetting resins, and are also effective as processing aids in improving the flowability and moldability of thermoplastic resins during melt processing.
