Abstract:
A pipe boring apparatus for boring an end of a pipe. The pipe boring apparatus can include a driven rotating head and a pipe borer. The pipe borer can include a body that is connected to the rotating head, a floating section that is movable with respect to the body, a biasing member that is connected to the body and to the floating section, a follower for following an outer surface of a pipe, and a cutter for cutting the internal surface of the pipe. A space between the follower and the cutter may be fixed in use.
Abstract:
A hole saw drill guide is described. The drill guide can be used when drilling holes in pipe or tubes. The hole saw drill guide includes a guide tube base assembly and an arbor shaft assembly. The guide tube base assembly is chained or otherwise secured to a pipe. The arbor shaft assembly is removably engaged with the guide tube base assembly and during use of the device, rotates within a guide tube of the base.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a portable pipe outer diameter-chamfering apparatus with improved weldability characterized in that a vertical fixing plate is fixed to the outside of the vertical plate, a horizontal fixing plate is fixed in an orthogonal direction to the tip of the vertical fixing plate, a ⊂ shaped link is coupled to move upward and downward along the vertical fixing plate, a circumscribing roller which is in close contact with an outside of a pipe are installed on the tip of the ⊂ shaped link on either side, the ⊂ shaped link moves up and down along the vertical fixing plate by a circumscribing roller adjustment screw installed on the horizontal fixing plate, a moving body is installed in the horizontal fixing plate, the moving body moves up and down by an inscribing roller adjustment screw installed on the horizontal fixing plate, and an inscribing roller which is in close contact with an inside of the pipe and a pressing force of which is adjusted by a spring is installed on the moving body.
Abstract:
An apparatus for cutting pipe includes a central cutting station formed by a ring member carried on a support at the ground so as to be independent of the pipe with an in-feed conveyor apparatus on one side and an out-feed conveyor apparatus for on the other side. The ring member rotates around the axis of the pipe and carries in the rotation a camera, a cutting device and a welding head. The support assembly provides movement of the ring member transversely to and longitudinally of the axis of the pipe. The cutting head can be tilted to form a bevel on the pipe end. The apparatus is controlled by a control system for controlling rotation of the ring member and longitudinal movement of the support assembly so as to cut the pipe in selected directions for welding of the ends or for cutting pipe pups.
Abstract:
A rotating machining device for machining a work piece includes a body having a support housing and a headstock rotatable relative to the support housing. A tool feed system including a tool module is attached to the headstock and a tripper pin assembly is attached to the support housing. The tripper pin assembly is arranged to collide with the tool feed system at a collision point for advancement of the tool feed system relative to the work piece. The radial position of the collision point is adjustable relative to the tool module such that the collision point is repositionable independent of the tool module.
Abstract:
A pipe beveler for chamfering simultaneously the inside and outside of a pipe end is provided. The device may comprise a main body, at least two blades, and an arbor. The body includes an open-end cylindrical pipe guide portion and an internal frustoconical portion. The blades are firmly affixed to the main body with their cutting edges arranged at positions and angles that allow for chamfering simultaneously the inner and outer diameters of the pipe end. A spare blade may also be affixed inside the main body.
Abstract:
Systems and devices for cutting annular objects comprising a structure built from t-slot profiles and clamping devices where an vertically adjustable t-slot profile is connected with a cutting assembly comprising a worm gear that turns a cutting blade that cuts into an annular object, and drive wheels that turn the annular object at a much slower rate than the spinning rate of the cutting blade.
Abstract:
A pipe cutting tool having: a plurality of rollers; a clamping member moveable between an open position in which a pipe is insertable between the plurality of rollers and a clamping position in which the pipe is secured between the rollers; a cutting apparatus having first, second, and third cutting members configured to optionally sequentially engage the pipe when positioned between the plurality of rollers; a drive motor drivingly connected to at least one of the rollers; and an actuator operatively connected to the drive motor.
Abstract:
The present invention is a coring unit adapted to be engaged to an articulated arm, to reduce the labor necessary for on-site coring of sewage and water pipes. The coring unit includes a frame containing the components of the unit, which include a coring bit, a coring bit motor, a traverse mechanism, and a stabilizer for allowing ready orientation of the coring unit with respect to an object being cored. The unit may also be provided with a traverse motor for driving the coring bit into an object being cored, and for withdrawing the coring bit once a core has been formed. The coring unit may additionally be adapted to allow for remote operation of the coring unit.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for angularly drilling during a tapping procedure into a pressurized multiple strings of coaxially situated tubulars for wells and/or platforms which have overturned wherein the tapping occurs underwater via a diver or remotely operated vehicle.
