摘要: A method of producing a paste for production of a negative electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery, which includes a negative electrode active material, a thickening agent, and an aqueous binder. The method includes preparing a mixture containing the negative electrode active material and the thickening agent by dry mixing the negative electrode active material and the thickening agent in a powder state under reduced pressure; preparing a paste precursor by adding one or two or more kinds of liquid components selected from an aqueous medium and an emulsion aqueous solution containing the aqueous binder to the mixture and wet mixing the mixture; and preparing the paste for production of a negative electrode by further adding one or two or more kinds of liquid components selected from the aqueous medium and the emulsion aqueous solution containing the aqueous binder to the paste precursor and wet mixing the mixture.

摘要: A power storage system has a plurality of secondary battery packs and a host device. The secondary battery packs each have: secondary batteries; a charge switch means that turns a charging path to the secondary batteries ON and OFF; a discharge switch means that turns a discharging path from the secondary battery ON and OFF; and a current-limiting means that causes the secondary battery to discharge while limiting the current to, or below, a fixed value. When switching from the secondary battery pack connected to the input/output terminals of the system to a first secondary battery pack in which voltage is higher than in the second secondary battery pack, the host device causes the charge switch means of the second secondary battery pack to turn OFF the charging path while in a state in which the current limiting means of the first secondary battery pack will cause a discharge operation to begin while limiting the flow of current.

摘要: An electrode for a secondary battery including an electrode laminated assembly that has a configuration in which electrodes and a separator are laminated, includes current collector 3 and active material layer 2 formed on a surface of current collector 3. Active material layer 2 includes a thick-layer portion and a thin-layer portion that is positioned at an edge portion of the active material layer and that is smaller in thickness than the thick-layer portion, and is formed by discharging slurry containing an active material from discharge port 12a of die head 12 toward the surface of current collector 3, the slurry being supplied to die head 12 through coating valve 13. At the time of the formation of the thin-layer portion of active material layer 2, the slurry supplied through coating valve 13 having a smaller opening amount than at the time of the formation of the thick-layer portion is discharged toward current collector 3 from discharge port 12a that is closer to current collector 3 than at the time of the formation of the thick-layer portion.

In addition, when the battery cells (100) perform the discharge, the battery control unit (400) specifies a minimum voltage cell in which the voltage is lowest on the basis of the voltages measured by the measurement unit (200). Further, before the minimum voltage cell is over-discharged, the battery control unit (400) outputs a first signal for reducing a discharge current in the discharge.
