Abstract: A wireless first device may receive a packet from another device from an overlapping basic service set (OBSS). A received power of the packet may be greater than a threshold for transmitting during the time of the packet. If the first device reduces its transmit power, the first device may increase the threshold. If the received power is less than the increased threshold, the first device may count down a backoff count during a transmission time or transmission opportunity of the packet. In some cases, after the transmission time or transmission opportunity, the first device may increase its transmission power. In some cases, the condition for counting down a backoff count may also include initiating or finishing the transmission during the transmission time or the transmission opportunity of the packet, or transmitting at the reduced power.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication such as coordinated beamforming or Joint MIMO. In some aspects, distributed MIMO is used to support communication in a cluster of wireless nodes (e.g., access points). A distributed MIMO scheduling scheme as taught herein is used to determine each wireless node (e.g., station) in the cluster that needs to be nulled by another wireless node (e.g., an access point). For example, one of the wireless nodes may obtain signal measurement information from the other wireless nodes and thereby generate a list of wireless nodes (e.g., access points) that need to null one or more wireless nodes (e.g., stations).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. An access point (AP) may configure one or more trigger frames, which may include a number of random access resource units (RUs). A number of stations (STAs) may contend to use such random access RUs. Regulation techniques for which STAs may contend for access to random access RUs may include providing that separate subsets of random access RUs may be identified for STAs that are associated and unassociated with the AP. In some implementations, the regulation techniques enable STAs to attempt transmissions using the random access RUs when uplink-limited or if the STA has a non-empty buffer, or combinations thereof. Techniques for acknowledging receipt of an uplink transmission may include transmitting an acknowledgment using a same association identification for the acknowledgment as used in the uplink transmission, and including a STA identifier in a signaling field associated with the acknowledgment.

Abstract: A first neighbor awareness networking (NAN) device may access data network infrastructure and may advertise a service associated with the data network infrastructure to a second NAN device. For example, the first NAN device may announce the service via a service announcement. The second NAN device may subscribe to the service through the first NAN device, and the second NAN device may proxy the service announcement to another NAN device. The other NAN device may also subscribe to the service in response to receiving the service announcement. For example, the second NAN device may operate as a “relay point” to provide the service to the other NAN device.

An access point (AP) may establish a wakeup radio listen schedule for a station (STA) such that a wakeup radio of the STA is powered on to listen for wakeup messages according to wakeup signals transmitted by the AP (e.g., to power on a primary radio). The AP may identify synchronization information such as clock, interval, and offset information for the wakeup radio listen schedule, and may transmit the synchronization information to the STA, such that the STA may synchronize the wakeup radio for wakeup messages. In some cases, the STA may monitor for the synchronization information using a primary radio (e.g., from periodic beacon signals sent by the AP). In other cases, the STA may receive synchronization information in a wakeup signal (e.g., using the wakeup radio). In some examples, the STA may indicate a preferred synchronization mechanism in advance.

For example, the ability for a single traffic flow to span across different channels may increase the capacity of the network, may reduce communication latency, etc. In accordance with aspects of the present disclosure, a wireless device supporting multi-link communication may identify an anchor link and one or more supplementary links. For example, the anchor link may provide reliable communications while the supplementary links may provide increased throughput relative to the anchor link As an example, the anchor link may be dedicated for use to communicate management or control information, as well as data, while the supplementary links in the multi-link session may be used to communicate data according to the control and management information transmitted on the anchor link.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for selectively acquiring communication frames from a transmitting device capable of formatting the communication frames in accordance with a plurality of PHY formats. In some implementations, a STA may filter or discard duplicate frames received from an AP based, at least in part, on a preference of the STA for one of the plurality of PHY formats. The filtering may be performed at the PHY, without forwarding received communication frames to the media access control layer (MAC) for further processing. In some other implementations, an AP may refrain from sending duplicate frames to a STA based, at least in part, on a preferred frame format of the STA. Still further, in some implementations, the STA may dynamically adjust or update its preferred frame format based on changes in the distance, or channel conditions, between the STA and the AP.
