Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for sidelink positioning. In an aspect, an initiator user equipment (UE) transmits a first request to create a sidelink positioning protocol (SLPP) session to each recipient UE among a set of one or more recipient UEs, and receives first responses from the set of one or more recipient UEs that each indicate an acceptance or rejection of the SLPP session by the recipient. A group of one or more UEs for participation in the SLPP session is determined by the initiator UE from among recipient UEs from which a respective first response that indicates the acceptance of the SLPP session is received. In another aspect, a UE transmitting an SLPP message may indicate a first casting mode (e.g., unicast, groupcast, broadcast, etc.) of the SLPP message and may optionally indicate a second casting mode (e.g., unicast, groupcast, broadcast, etc.) for response(s) to the SLPP message.

Abstract: A relay device receives, from the base station, a configuration for minimization of drive test (MDT) measurements associated with sidelink communication and transmits a report of the MDT measurements to the base station based on the configuration. The relay device may transmit, to a second UE, a configuration for logged MDT measurements associated with sidelink communication. The relay may receive an availability indication of logged MDT measurements from the second UE, transmit a request for the logged MDT measurements to the second UE, and receive the logged MDT measurements from the second UE over sidelink. A remote device receives, in a sidelink message from a relay device, a configuration for MDT measurements of sidelink communication and transmits the MDT measurements to the relay device.

Abstract: Aspects relate to managing a device-to-device communication link via radio resource control (RRC) layer signaling. In an example operation, a first wireless communication device establishes a unicast link with a second wireless communication device over a device-to-device communication interface and determines that the unicast link is to be reconfigured with at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device then sends a link reconfiguration request to the second wireless communication device via a first RRC message over the communication interface. The first RRC message includes the at least one updated parameter. The first wireless communication device receives a link reconfiguration response from the second wireless communication device via a second RRC message over the communication interface based on the link reconfiguration request and determines whether to reconfigure the unicast link using the at least one updated parameter based on the received link reconfiguration response.

The UE may receive a message including a sidelink DRX configuration from the base station based on the sidelink DRX information and operate according to the sidelink DRX configuration.
