Abstract: An apparatus for implementing power control for a radio device that has multiple radio transceivers operating in different bands, including sub-bands of a single frequency band. The device implements a power control protocol for communications between the device and a similar peer device. The device sets-up the power control protocol by generating a request to use one of the multiple bands to signal power control operations, and to use another one of the multiple bands to transfer data between the device and the peer device. The device sends the request to the peer device and receives a response. Based on the response, the device identifies a control channel band and a data channel band from among the multiple bands.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to a multiuser multiple-input and multiple-output (MU-MIMO) setup frame. A device may generate an MU-MIMO setup frame comprising a physical layer (PHY) header and a media access control (MAC) header, the PHY header comprising an indication of a control trailer after the MAC header, the MAC header comprising a first receive address (RA) field comprising one or more first device identifiers (IDs), and the control trailer comprising a second RA field comprising one or more second device IDs. The device may transmit the MU-MIMO setup frame over a directional multi-gigabit (DMG) channel.

Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of Multi User (MU) resource allocation. For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a wireless station to transmit a short feedback trigger frame including a first allocation of opportunities for short feedback from associated stations, and a second allocation of opportunities for short feedback from unassociated stations; to process a plurality of short feedbacks from a plurality of stations according to the first and second allocations, the plurality of short feedbacks to indicate uplink resource requests; based on the plurality of short feedbacks, to transmit a MU trigger frame to allocate uplink resources to the plurality of stations; and to process uplink transmissions from the plurality of stations according to the uplink resources.

Abstract: Some embodiments relate to methods, computer readable media, and apparatus for resolving acknowledgements between associated and unassociated stations. An apparatus is disclosed including processing circuitry configured to decode responses to a random-access trigger frame, wherein one of the responses is a response from an unassociated station. The processing circuitry may be further configured to: encode an acknowledgement to acknowledge receipt of the response from the unassociated station, where the acknowledgement comprises an indication that the acknowledgement is for the unassociated station, and where the acknowledgement further comprises a media access control (MAC) address of the unassociated station in a field of the acknowledgement other than a field in a MAC header portion of the acknowledgement. The processing circuitry may configure the HE access point to transmit the acknowledgement.

Abstract: Computer readable media, methods, and apparatuses for centralized channel access for primary and secondary channels are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising memory and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to encode a schedule of one or more resource allocations, wherein each resource allocation comprises a type of allocation, a bandwidth, an indication of a channel, a source association identification (AID), a destination AID, an allocation start, and a duration. The type of allocation may be a service period (SP) or a contention-based access period (CBAP). The channel may be an indication of a basic service set (BSS) or a personal BSS (PBSS) primary channel, BSS or PBSS secondary channel, or BSS or PBSS tertiary channel. The processing circuitry may be configured to transmit the schedule to one or more stations identified by the source AID and the destination AID of the one or more resource allocations.

Abstract: Techniques for power saving by remote wireless mobile devices are provided, in particular by stations (STAs) during downlink (DL) multiple-user multiple-input and multiple-output (MU-MIMO) transmissions in an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11ay network when reverse direction (RD) transmissions are either enabled and not enabled. Various embodiments enable each STA in a group of STAs to determine an order in which the STAs are requested to send a block acknowledgement (BACK) and which STAs will be granted an RD transmission. Further, a duration of each RD transmission is provided to each STA. Based on the provided information, each STA can determine times to enter a power saving mode. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described by which a wireless station transmits information to an access point in response to a short feedback request. The response to the short feedback request is transmitted as either energy or lack thereof in one or more long training fields transmitted in a preamble of a physical layer packet. Short feedback trigger frames for requesting the short feedback are also described.
