摘要: A solution for irradiating a flowing fluid through a channel with ultraviolet radiation is provided. Ultraviolet radiation sources can be located within the channel in order to direct ultraviolet radiation towards the flowing fluid and/or the interior of the channel. A valve can be located adjacent to the channel to control the flow rate of the fluid. A control system can control and adjust the ultraviolet radiation based on the flow rate of the fluid and a user input component can receive a user input for the control system to adjust the ultraviolet radiation. The ultraviolet radiation sources, the control system, the user input component, and any other components that require electricity can receive power from a rechargeable power supply. An electrical generator located within the channel can convert energy from the fluid flowing through the channel into electricity for charging the rechargeable power supply.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a device for controlling pollutants in basin water resources cycling utilization in agricultural activity areas. The method includes: providing an acidification tank, an aeration tank and a multi-media constructed wetland connected in sequence, which are 4˜10 m far from basin revetment, feeding basin water into the constructed wetland, adsorbing or degrading heavy metals and organic pollutants by the constructed wetland, and then transporting the treated basin water to the agricultural activity areas. The present invention effectively controls the content of heavy metals that will enter the agricultural activity areas, fundamentally reduces the content of heavy metals in the crops, promotes the growth of the crops, maintains sustainable and healthy development of agriculture, and therefore guarantees human health and safety.

摘要: Water disinfecting modules, water supply systems, methods of assembling a water supply system as well as method of disinfecting water are provided. The water disinfecting module includes a frame, hot and cold water flow switches and hot and cold UV treatment modules is provided. The frame supports a hot and cold water inlets and hot and cold water outlets. Hot and cold water flow switches are fluidly interposed between the respective inlets and outlets for sensing water flow. Hot and cold water UV treatment modules are fluidly interposed between corresponding inlets and outlets and are coupled to flow switches for activation upon sensing of water flow. All of the components are supported by the frame to form a complete unit. The systems and methods incorporate the use of such a water disinfecting module.

摘要: Leachate remediation is performed by synergistic chemical oxidation and photocatalytic-oxidation enhancer system (SCOPES) of municipal landfill leachate to a level that is safe for disposal within regulatory guidelines. The physico-chemical (chemical, spectroscopic, elemental, microstructural and thermal) characteristics of the pre- and post-treated landfill leachate have been investigated to examine the utility of advanced oxidation (AO) processes such as SCOPES to decontaminate the municipal landfill leachate and/or toxic organic wastewater. The experimental results demonstrated successful lowering of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and UV-Vis absorbance for constituent contaminants in the leachate and/or wastewater solutions.

摘要: A preparation method of a two-dimensional nitrogen-doped carbon-based titanium dioxide composite material includes: (1) etching Ti3AlC2 with LiF/HCl to prepare two-dimensional transition metal carbide nanosheet; (2) preparing a nanosheet aggregate by electrostatic self-assembly of a two-dimensional transition metal carbide nanosheet and a positively charged nitrogen-containing cationic compound; (3) calcining the nanosheet aggregates to prepare a two-dimensional nitrogen-doped carbon-based titanium dioxide composite material. A method for degrading and removing organic pollutants in water includes (1) etching Ti3AlC2 with LiF/HCl to prepare two-dimensional transition metal carbide nanosheet; (2) preparing a nanosheet aggregate by electrostatic self-assembly of a two-dimensional transition metal carbide nanosheet and a positively charged nitrogen-containing cationic compound; (3) calcining the nanosheet aggregates to prepare a two-dimensional nitrogen-doped carbon-based titanium dioxide composite material; (4) placing the two-dimensional nitrogen-doped carbon-based titanium dioxide composite material into water containing organic pollutants to degrade and remove organic pollutants in water.

The cap may include a UV-C module. When activated, the UV-C module may destroy bacteria and/or viruses within the water. The cap may also include a particulate filter. The particulate filter may filter out particulate matter from the water when water is being suctioned out of the bottle. The water may be suctioned out of the bottle using a foldaway straw included in the cap.

摘要: Methods of treating contaminated groundwater having recalcitrant organic contaminants are disclosed. The methods include pretreating the contaminated groundwater to remove iron, introducing a persulfate to the contaminated groundwater, and exposing the contaminated groundwater to irradiation. The methods may also include extracting the contaminated groundwater from a feed stream. The methods may also include preparing the persulfate with high purity water. Systems for treating contaminated groundwater having recalcitrant organic contaminants are also disclosed. The systems include a pretreatment subsystem, a source of persulfate, and an irradiation source.
