Abstract: Surgical navigation systems and methods for tracking an object within an operating room involve a camera unit that houses a first stereoscopic sensing system and a second stereoscopic sensing system each comprising sensing elements adapted to sense light. A controller utilizes the first stereoscopic sensing system to sense light from the object and track the object according to a first resolution. The controller utilizes the second stereoscopic sensing system to sense light from the object and track the object according to a second resolution that is lower than the first resolution. The controller obtains data related to the object from the second stereoscopic sensing system and modifies control of the sensing elements of the first stereoscopic sensing system based on the obtained data related to the object.

Abstract: A driving method of a semiconductor device that takes three-dimensional images with short duration is provided. In a first step, a light source starts to emit light, and first potential corresponding to the total amount of light received by a first photoelectric conversion element and a second photoelectric conversion element is written to a first charge accumulation region. In a second step, the light source stops emitting light and second potential corresponding to the total amount of light received by the first photoelectric conversion element and the second photoelectric conversion element is written to a second charge accumulation region. In a third step, first data corresponding to the potential written to the first charge accumulation region is read. In a fourth step, second data corresponding to the potential written to the second charge accumulation region is read.

Abstract: Provided are a solid-state imaging device, a method for driving a solid-state imaging device, and an electronic apparatus that are capable of selecting a pixel operating mode between a RS mode and a GS mode and switching a conversion gain read-out mode, where signals produced with different conversion gains are read, among several options depending on a scene. As a result, the solid-state imaging device, the method for driving the solid-state imaging device and the electronic apparatus can minimize a drop in SNR at the conjunction point between a HCG signal and a LCG signal and also achieve high full well capacity and little dark noise. In a solid-state imaging device, a pixel part includes pixels arranged in a matrix pattern, and each pixel includes a photoelectric conversion reading part. The solid-state imaging device is capable of performing rolling shutter (RS) and global shutter (GS).
