Abstract:
A water irrigation system includes a dripper tube having a plurality of water discharge openings along its length for discharging water at a slow rate from each opening; and a pulsator device connecting a water supply conduit to the dripper tube and producing a pulsatile water flow to the dripper tube having a frequency substantially exceeding one cycle per second (CPS). In a described preferred embodiment, the pulsator device is connected to the dripper tube by a connecting tube of a length and cross-sectional area such as to produce a resonant feedback system with the pulsator device producing a pulsatile water flow to the dripper tube having a frequency exceeding 10 CPS.
Abstract:
A fuel injector for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine is described. The fuel injector has a fuel inlet connection piece for supplying fuel, a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator, which is sealed off from the fuel by a seal, and a valve closing body actuatable by the actuator via a valve needle. The valve closing body working together with a valve seat surface to form a seal seat. The seal includes an inlet-side gasket, which is arranged between the fuel inlet connection piece and the actuator, and an actuator jacket that is elastically deformable in a longitudinal direction and is connected to the inlet-side gasket.
Abstract:
Fuel injector provided with a piezoelectric actuator, a valve activated by the piezoelectric actuator and regulating a fuel supply that flows in a working direction, and a mechanical transmission placed between the piezoelectric actuator and the valve; an expansion of the piezoelectric actuator displaces the valve in the working direction from a closed position to an open position in an opposite direction to that of the fuel outlet.
Abstract:
The method and device of the present invention for ultrasound wound treatment includes a transducer to produce ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic transducer has tip with the distal end (radiation surface). A liquid is directed to the radiation surface throug central orifice or separate tube wherein an directed atomized particle spray of the liquid is created upon contact of the liquid with the radiation surface. The spray directed to the wound from at least 0.1 inches transmits ultrasound waves trough particles and has an irrigation, mechanical cleansing, liquid energizing and bactericide effect.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, there is provided an ultrasonically operated liquid fuel modifying device for applying an ultrasonic wave to liquid fuel having high viscosity and poor quality, and modifying it into good emulsified oil. The modifying system of the present invention comprises: a fuel tank (10) for storing liquid fuel having high viscosity and poor quality; a water tank (20) for storing water; an agitating device (30) for agitating the liquid fuel and water fed from the fuel and water tanks (10, 20), respectively; and an ultrasonically operated modifying device (40) including an ultrasonic vibration generator (56) for generating an ultrasonic wave so as to apply the ultrasonic wave to the liquid fuel and the water fed from the agitating device (30) and to modify it into good emulsified oil, and ultrasonic wave-generating portions (65).
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for manufacturing ultra-fine particles using an electrospray device is disclosed. One or more capillary provided at its tip with a nozzle is positioned within a guide duct and precursors such as metal organic materials and metal halogen compounds, or nonvolatile substances or volatile substances are supplied to the capillary. Voltages are applied to the capillary and the guide duct, respectively, so that a voltage difference is generated therebetween and the highly charged liquid droplets from the capillary are sprayed. The sprayed liquid droplets are carried along the guide duct together with carrier gas injected into the guide duct. When heat energy is applied to the liquid droplets, chemical reactions of the liquid droplets occur. A collecting plate positioned in front of the guide duct collects ultra-fine particles formed by the chemical reactions.
Abstract:
A misting system valve assembly comprises a conduit connectable to a pressurized fluid supply. The conduit includes a through opening. A sleeve is telescopically received on the conduit. The sleeve is adapted to support a nozzle. The sleeve has a sleeve opening therethrough for selectively delivering pressurized fluid to the nozzle. The sleeve is moveable on the conduit between an open position where the conduit through opening is in communication with the sleeve opening and a closed position where the conduit through opening is not in communication with the sleeve opening.
Abstract:
A stacked-type piezoelectric device 1 to be built in an injector includes a metal case 41 outside its side surfaces. An insulating member 45 having an electric insulation property is interposed between the side surfaces 101, 102 of the piezoelectric device 1 and an inner surface 410 of the case 41. The insulating member 45 is bonded to either the side surfaces 101, 102 of the piezoelectric device 1 or the inner surface 410 of the case, and at least a part of the insulating member 45 is in contact with the other surface.
Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a phosphor ink applying device that can apply phosphor ink in a plurality of lines to an intricately-shaped surface of a back panel of a PDP while preventing phosphor colors mixing. A valve is provided for the aperture of each nozzle of the phosphor ink applying device and the opening and closing of each valve is controlled according to the shape of the portion of the surface to which ink is to be applied. In this way, mixing of colors can be prevented on an intricately-shaped back panel such as that with auxiliary barrier ribs.
