    摘要: A Laval shape is formed between the nozzle seat surface and needle tip portion. An injection hole also has the Laval shape. When the needle lift amount is small, a fuel flow velocity reaches an acoustic velocity in valve-opening portion. The fuel flow velocity further accelerated to a supersonic velocity at the Laval shape. When the needle lift amount is large, the fuel flows into the injection hole without a velocity decrease. Thus, the fuel flow velocity reaches the supersonic velocity at the Laval shape.

The armature is axially moveable with respect to the needle so that, when the needle is in the closing position, the armature is movable from a first position further in the second direction to a second position against the bias of the elastic member. The elastic member has a plurality of beams, each beam having a first end and a second end which are axially and radially offset with respect to each other, and the armature is operable to reduce the axial offset between the first end and the second end when moving from the first to the second position.

    摘要: A fuel gas injection valve according to the present invention includes: a holder including a first injection hole through which fuel gas is injected to produce premixed fuel, and a second injection hole through which fuel gas is injected to produce diffusion fuel; a first needle valve that slidably reciprocates in the holder along an axial direction to open and close the first injection hole and the second injection hole; and a second needle valve having a sealing face on the top thereof and a through-hole provided along the axial direction at the central portion in a radial direction of the second needle valve, the sealing face being brought into contact with a needle valve seat provided in the holder, the first needle valve being slidably inserted into the through-hole, and the second needle valve reciprocating in the holder along the axial direction to prevent fuel gas from circulating to the first injection hole and the second injection hole when the sealing face is in contact with the needle valve seat, and to allow the fuel gas to circulate to the first injection hole or the second injection hole when the sealing face is separated from the needle valve seat.

The fuel injector includes a fuel inlet, a pre-conditioning vortex chamber, and an excitation chamber. The fuel injector includes a vortex chamber that conforms a pulsed amount of the first fuel to produce a vortex that includes a coherent dynamic pressure wave. The fuel injector also includes an excitation mechanism that at least partially ignites the fuel.

    摘要: In an electromagnetic fuel injection valve, a valve housing includes: a cylinder-shaped valve seat member having a valve seat in its front end portion; a magnetic cylindrical body coaxially connected to a rear end portion of the valve seat member; a nonmagnetic cylindrical body coaxially and liquid-tightly welded to a rear end of the magnetic cylindrical body; and a hollow cylindrical stationary core coaxially and liquid-tightly welded to a rear end of the nonmagnetic cylindrical body. A valve assembly is housed in the valve housing and includes: a valve body capable of being seated on the valve seat; and a movable core connected to a rear end of the valve body and opposed to a front end of the stationary core. The valve body and the valve seat member are respectively made of different martensitic stainless steels so that a hardness of the valve body is higher than that of the valve seat member. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an electromagnetic fuel injection valve for alcohol fuel which is capable of preventing the adhesive wear from occurring in the seat portion while a valve body and a valve seat member made of martensitic stainless steel are used.

The system comprises a direct injection engine having a cylinder in which a piston is slidingly supported to form in combination with a cylinder head a combustion chamber; a fuel injector for the cylinder having a catalytic coated tip portion that projects into the combustion chamber; and an electronic controller to control the operation of the engine and operates the engine in a heating mode of operation if heating of the fuel injector tip is requested. Various methods for heating the fuel injector tip are proposed including operating the engine on a reduced number of cylinders and varying one or both of fuel injection timing and quantity of fuel injected and the ignition timing in order to increase the temperature of combustion.
