    摘要: The present invention provides a composition comprising an HFO compound, the composition having excellent stability with decomposition and oxidation of the HFO compound being inhibited, the composition having improved refrigerating capacity when used as a heat transfer medium, compared with the case in which an HFO compound is used alone. More specifically, the present invention provides a composition comprising at least one HFO compound selected from the group consisting of HFO-1234yf, (E-/Z-)HFO-1234ze, and (E-/Z-)HFO-1225ye; and a chlorine-containing compound, wherein (1) the chlorine-containing compound is at least one member selected from the group consisting of CH2=CHCl, CHF=CHCl, CH2=CFCl, CF3Cl, CH3Cl, CF3CH2Cl, CClF=CHCl, and CHF=CCl2, and (2) the chlorine-containing compound is contained in an amount ranging from 1 to 500000 mass ppm.

    摘要: Disclosed are processes for the production of fluorinated olefins, preferably adapted to commercialization of CF3CF═CH2 (1234yf). In certain preferred embodiments the processes comprise first exposing a compound of Formula (IA) C(X)2═CClC(X)3  (IA) where each X is independently F, Cl or H, preferably CCl2═CClCH2Cl, to one or more sets of reaction conditions, but preferably a substantially single set of reaction conditions, effective to produce at least one chlorofluoropropane, preferably in accordance with Formula (IB): CF3CClX′C(X′)3  Formula (IB) where each X′ is independently F, Cl or H, and then exposing the compound of Formula (IB) to one or more sets of reaction conditions, but preferably a substantially single set of reaction conditions, effective to produce a compound of Formula (II) CF3CF═CHZ  (II) where Z is H, F, Cl, I or Br.

    摘要: Processes for the production of chlorinated and/or fluonnated propenes provide good product yield with advantageous impurity profiles in the crude product. Advantageously, the processes may be conducted at lower temperatures than 600° C., or less than 500° C., so that energy savings are provided, and/or at higher pressures so that high throughputs may also be realized. The use of catalysts or initiators may provide additional enhancements to conversion rates and selectivity, as may adjustments to the molar ratio of the reactants.
