    摘要: A printhead including one or more fluid vias in fluid communication with a fluid supply, each of the one or more fluid vias being associated with a first number of heating elements, the heating elements being divided into groups of a second number of heating elements so as to form a number of primitive groups, and an electrical interface having at least one shift register that receives primitive address data to allow for selective application of electrical signals to the heating elements so that fluid is ejected from the printhead in accordance with image data, the number of primitive groups being dependent on the print resolution of the printhead so that a number of bits required for the at least one shift register to address each heater is independent of the print resolution of the printhead.

In the embodiment, a processor in an information processing apparatus executes a program including a first program layer with an instruction set to be interpreted and executed by the processor and a second program layer with an instruction set interpreted in advance by a unit other than the processor in the following way. That is, the first program layer draws an image, and divides and enlarges the drawn image using a memory. Image data of each of a plurality of images obtained by the division and enlargement is output from the second program layer to an external device.

    摘要: In a color mode, the image quality improving liquid is set to the same rate of 20% for all input signal values. Meanwhile, in a monochrome mode, the image quality improving liquid is set to a rate of 30% in the highlight region, and the ink rate gradually decreases starting from the intermediate tones and proceeding towards the high-density region. Thus, the optimal printing method and usage rate for image quality improving liquid can be adjusted in accordance with the image quality characteristics of the color mode and the monochrome mode. As a result, it is possible to reduce color change in specular light while maintaining at least a certain level of image clarity in both modes, and thus favorably print both color images and monochrome images.
