摘要： An inexpensive image communication apparatus allows an external information processing terminal to be connected thereto, and uses an interface capable of high-speed data transfer for communication with the PC. The image communication apparatus receives an instruction from the external information processing terminal through an interface control unit in a state in which reception can be performed. When an instruction from the information processing terminal is received while communication is preformed by a communication unit and an instruction from an operation panel is received, the image communication apparatus outputs information indicating that the instruction cannot be executed, in a state in which the interface control unit can perform transmission.

摘要： An information recording/reproducing apparatus wherein the CPU stores data transferred through an interface in a temporary storage area and later records the data in a recording medium by using a recording/reproducing means. The temporary storage area is divided into first and a second regions by a temporary storage region disposition device. A discriminator determines whether the process-requested region is an information managing region or a data region from the process requests made by the host computer and the temporary storage region managing information. Based on the result of this discrimination, the temporary storage region manager allocates the first region if the data is for information managing or the second region if the data is intended for data storage.

摘要： A detailed genetic map on human chromosome 11 was prepared. Then, a commonly deleted region on the chromosome in the tumor tissues of patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 was identified. Further, by linkage analysis of a family line with this disease, a genetic cause for this disease was localized. A gene present in the region common to these observations was cloned and the structure of this gene was determined. Because a protein coded by this DNA is homologous with those of transcriptional factors, it is expected that the above-mentioned gene may be a novel tumor suppressor gene. Further, it is also expected that the above-mentioned gene and a protein coded for thereby may be useful in preparation of a remedy for cancer and a diagnostic drug for cancer.

摘要： A color toner providing a toner image excellent in brightness, clearness and graininess and a process for producing the same are disclosed, wherein a proportion of dispersed pigment particles having a circle-equivalent diameter of 0.3 .mu.m or greater does not exceed 0.1% of the total number of said dispersed pigment particles. The process comprises kneading a water-containing pigment paste and a binder resin at a temperature of 100.degree. C. or higher under pressure in a heat and pressure kneader to remove a water content to obtain a pigment dispersion, melt-kneading the resulting pigment dispersion together with a binder resin, and grinding the mixture.

摘要： A molded product including a film bonded to a resin frame is produced by a method including: 1) reinforcing the film with a solvent-soluble or solvent-disintegrable reinforcing layer; 2) inserting the reinforced film in an injection mold; 3) feeding a resin to the mold to attach a frame body to the reinforced film while injection molding the resin frame; and 4) treating the resulting injection molded product with a solvent to remove the reinforcing layer. This production process can establish a technique capable of bonding (integrally molding) the film solely to the frame body, regardless of the size of the film. The film may preferably be an expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film, and the moisture-permeable resin may preferably be combined with the expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film.
