Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to communication using a data unit that includes at least one mid-amble. In some aspects, an apparatus may use mid-ambles for mobility scenarios (e.g., when the apparatus is moving outdoors). The disclosure relates in some aspects to signaling associated with the use of mid-ambles. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal whether it supports sending and/or receiving data with mid-ambles. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal whether a particular data unit includes at least one mid-amble. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal an indication of at least one mid-amble update interval. In some aspects, an apparatus may signal whether a mid-amble includes a short training field.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for estimating angular information of a received wireless signal. In some implementations, a receiving device may receive a wireless signal from a transmitting device, and estimate channel conditions, based on a number of sounding sequences, to determine a channel frequency response of the received wireless signal. The receiving device may determine a channel impulse response based an inverse discrete Fourier transfer (DFT) function or a partial inverse DFT function of the channel frequency response, and then select a portion of the channel impulse response. The receiving device may estimate an angle of arrival of the received wireless signal based on the selected portion of the channel impulse response.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for providing wireless messages according to various tone plans can include a system configured to generate a message according to a 2048-tone plan having 1960 data tones. The 2048-tone plan includes two identical 1024-tone plans each having 980 data tones. The system can further perform segment parsing to divide data into two data portions, each portion for transmission over one of two 80 MHz bandwidths, according to one of the two identical 1024-tone plans. The system can further perform low density parity check (LDPC) tone mapping separately on each of the two data portions. The system can further provide the message for transmission over a 160 MHz bandwidth including the two 80 MHz bandwidths.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for signaling soft time division multiplexing (TDM) assignment information in an enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) operation. The soft TDM assignment may be sent to one or more nodes of a group of nodes to communicate with indicated priority access parameters during at least one of a plurality of time slots. The soft TDM assignment may also convey one or more backoff operation rules to at least one of the one or more nodes. Further, primary and secondary non-concurrent nodes may be identified and a signal sent to the secondary node for it to communicate, at a different priority than the primary node, during at least one of a plurality of non-concurrent time slots the primary node is communicating during.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device, such as a device in a wireless local area network, may use a radio frame structure that includes a high efficiency (HE) signal field and an HE data field for communications, for example, over shared radio frequency spectrum. One or more bits or symbols within the HE signal field may be adjusted to avoid a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In some cases, the adjustment may be to a signal A (SIG-A) or signal B (SIG-B) field. In some examples, a random bit sequence may be used for padding in a signal field. In other examples, bits may be reversed or scrambled. In yet other examples, bits may be modulated and a phase rotation may be applied to the corresponding signal.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for resource allocation signaling in a high efficiency wireless local area network (WLAN) are disclosed. A transmitter may generate an indication that a first channel of a plurality of channels associated with a transmission frame has been punctured, the transmission frame including a WLAN signaling field. The transmitter may identify information associated with the WLAN signaling field corresponding to the punctured first channel. The transmitter may transmit the information associated with the WLAN signaling field in a second channel of the plurality of channels. The transmitter may transmit the indication that the first channel has been punctured in the second channel or in a second WLAN signaling field of the transmission frame.
