Abstract: Systems and methods providing for dynamic switching between the various waveforms on the downlink are described. Embodiments of a dynamic downlink waveform switching implementation may, for example, support utilization of one or more multiple carrier (MC) waveform (e.g., OFDMA) or other high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) waveform and one or more SC (SC) waveform (e.g., discrete Fourier transform-spread-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM)) or other low PAPR waveform. Dynamic selection of a downlink waveform may be made by an access point based upon various metrics, including relative distance to a served an access terminal and the preference of downlink waveform indicated by a served an access terminal. A downlink waveform selection indication may be signaled from the access point to the served an access terminal using downlink control information (DCI).

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques related to wireless communications. In an aspect, a network entity determines whether a source reference signal transmitted from a first transmission-reception point (TRP) is a quasi-collocation (QCL) source of a target reference signal transmitted from a second TRP based, at least in part, on a first bandwidth (BW) portion occupied by the source reference signal and a second BW portion occupied by the target reference signal, the first BW portion having a first start frequency and a first BW size and the second BW portion having a second start frequency and a second BW size, and configures a user equipment (UE) with the source reference signal as the QCL source of the target reference signal when it is so determined.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to intra-slot transmit beam selection and receive beam selection for sidelink are provided. A first user equipment (UE) transmits, to a second UE over a sidelink, a plurality of beam measurement signals in a plurality of beam directions during a first slot, wherein each beam measurement signal of the plurality of beam measurement signals includes at least one of sidelink control information (SCI) or a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS), and wherein the plurality of beam directions includes at least two different beam directions. The first UE receives, from the second UE, an indication of a preferred beam direction of the plurality of beam directions. The first UE transmits, to the second UE over the sidelink, data in the preferred beam direction.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to sidelink carrier aggregation and cross-carrier scheduling indications in sidelink control information (SCI). Specifically, in one aspect, a transmit UE may configure a multi-component carrier grant including a plurality of component carriers for a physical sidelink share channel (PSSCH). The transmit UE may further transmit, one or both of a set of first SCI each including a single component carrier grant corresponding to one component carrier from the multi-component carrier grant and associated with scheduling information of the one component carrier, or a second SCI including the multi-component carrier grant and associated with scheduling information of the plurality of component carriers. In another aspect, a receiver UE may receive one or both of the set of first SCI each including the single component carrier grant corresponding to one component carrier from the multi-component carrier grant, or the second SCI including the multi-component carrier grant.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for determining round-trip time (RTT) of a user equipment (UE). In an aspect, each gNodeB in a plurality of gNodeBs measure signaling data related to an uplink RTT reference signal received from the UE and the downlink RTT reference signal transmitted by each gNodeB. The signaling data comprises one of a processing delay between a time of arrival (TOA) of the uplink RTT reference signal and a time of transmission (TOT) of the downlink RTT reference signal or a total RTT between the TOT of the downlink RTT reference signal and the TOA of the uplink RTT reference signal. The signaling data is sent to a single entity, other than the UE, e.g., another gNodeB or a location server, where signaling data relevant to the UE is aggregated. The aggregated signaling data may be sent to the UE to determine the RTT for the UE or used by the location server to determine the RTT for the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques allow a user equipment (UE) to efficiently identify a trigger state that is linked to a configuration for receiving and measuring reference signals from a transmission and reception point (TRPs). The UE may receive an indication of different lists of trigger states associated with different TRPs, and, when the UE receives downlink control information (DCI) indicating a trigger state index, the UE may reference an appropriate list to identify the trigger state corresponding to the trigger state index. In particular, the UE may determine a control resource set (CORESET) pool index of a CORESET in which the DCI is received, and the UE may identify the trigger state corresponding to the trigger state index from a list of trigger states associated with the CORESET pool index.
