    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for lens design for full-duplex communication. In some aspects, a device may use a lens design that enables full-duplex operation through a lens by facilitating an avoidance or mitigation of self-interference during full-duplex operation. The lens may have a first, antenna-facing surface and a second, outward-facing surface and, to avoid or mitigate self-interference due to reflection off the lens, the first surface may have a first curvature associated with a relatively small radius. In such examples, the device may transmit wireless signaling from a transmitting element and a reflection off the lens may be dispersed or otherwise oriented away from a receiving element in accordance with a design of the first curvature. In some implementations, the lens may include an anti-reflective coating to further reduce reflection off the lens.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to beam refinement with simultaneous spatial-division multiplexed beams are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS), a plurality of reference signals in a set of beam directions. The receiving includes receiving, simultaneously during a first symbol, at least a first reference signal of the plurality of reference signals in a first beam direction of the set of beam directions and a second reference signal of the plurality of reference signals in a second beam direction of the set of beam directions, where the second beam direction is different from the first beam direction. The UE transmits, to the BS, a beam report indicating received signal measurements for two or more beam directions of the set of beam directions.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state configuration in multi-stream communication between a radio access network (RAN) entity and a user equipment (UE). The UE may obtain a respective beam quality metric for each transmit beam of a plurality of transmit beams associated with the RAN entity and transmit a beam report to the RAN entity including a respective beam quality metric for each of the transmit beams. The RAN entity may then group the plurality of transmit beams into a plurality of beam groups based on the beam report and transmit a plurality of TCI state groups, each corresponding to a respective one of the beam groups, to the UE.

    Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for communicating information in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) message. A processor of a wireless device may configure a PUCCH message to include an uplink message in a short data field. The processor may send the PUCCH message including the short data field to convey the uplink message to a communication network. In some embodiments, the processor may receive data from a second wireless device in a downlink channel, and may generate an acknowledgement message responsive to the received data. The processor may configure the short data field to include the acknowledgement message, and may send the PUCCH message including the short data field that includes the acknowledgement message to acknowledge the received data.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE. The apparatus may be configured to receive one or more reference signals from each transmit beam of a set of transmit beams of a first base station through each receive beam of a set of receive beams of the UE. The apparatus may be further configured to determine a set of transmit-beam receive-beam pairs based on the received reference signals.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications networks may support carrier aggregation such that a user equipment (UE) may operate on both a primary cell using a first frequency range and a secondary cell using a second frequency range. In some cases, a beam failure associated with one or more beams of the secondary cell may be identified by the UE, and a beam failure recovery procedure may be triggered. The UE may send a beam failure recovery request message in an uplink data field of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) message to a base station of the primary cell. In response to the beam failure recovery request message, the base station of the primary cell may transmit a response to the UE which includes beam failure mitigation information.
