In an example aspect, the apparatus includes a first antenna, a second antenna, and a wireless transceiver coupled to the first antenna and the second antenna. The wireless transceiver is configured to transmit multiple transmit signals at multiple power levels via the first antenna. The wireless transceiver is also configured to receive multiple receive signals via the second antenna. At least one receive signal of the multiple receive signals includes a portion of at least one transmit signal of the multiple transmit signals that is reflected by an object. The wireless transceiver is additionally configured to adjust a transmission parameter based on the at least one receive signal. The transmission parameter varies according to a range to the object.
Abstract:
An apparatus is disclosed for multiplexing radar beat signals. In an example aspect, the apparatus includes an antenna array and a wireless transceiver jointly configured to transmit a radar transmit signal and receive two or more radar receive signals. The two or more radar receive signals represent portions of the radar transmit signal that are reflected by an object. The wireless transceiver comprises a radio-frequency integrated circuit with two or more receive chains and a multiplexing circuit. Each one of the two or more receive chains is configured to generate a radar beat signal by downconverting a respective radar receive signal of the two or more radar receive signals using the radar transmit signal. The multiplexing circuit is coupled to the two or more receive chains and is configured to multiplex the two or more radar beat signals together to generate a composite radar beat signal.
Abstract:
A method for wireless communication by a wireless communication device is described. The wireless communication device determines that an aggressor radio in the wireless communication device is causing (or can potentially cause) self-jamming to a victim radio in the wireless communication device. A precoding configuration is selected based on one or more link throughput metrics and one or more self-jamming metrics. The precoding configuration is applied to transmissions of the aggressor radio.
Abstract:
The various embodiments include methods and apparatuses for canceling nonlinear interference during concurrent communication of multi-technology wireless communication devices. Nonlinear interference may be estimated using a radial basis function neural network with Hammerstein structure by executing a radial basis function on aggressor signals at a hidden layer of the radial basis function neural network with Hammerstein structure to obtain hidden layer outputs, augmenting aggressor signal(s) by weight factors and, executing a linear combination of the augmented output, at an intermediate layer to produce a combined hidden layer outputs. At an output layer, a linear filter function may be executed on the hidden layer outputs to produce an estimated nonlinear interference used to cancel the nonlinear interference of a victim signal.

The transceiver may further include a multi-tap analog adaptive filter coupled to each of the transmitter and the receiver and configured to generate an estimated transmit leakage signal based on at least a portion of a transmit signal from the transmitter and an error signal from the receiver.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for reducing interference for wireless communication in a wireless device with multiple receive antennas. In aspects for reducing interference, a combined signal may be generated by combining a plurality of received signals from a plurality of respective receive antennas of the wireless device, for example, using one or more different types of combining A common distortion of the plurality of received signals may be estimated based at least in part on the combined signal, and interference reduction may be performed on one or more of the plurality of received signals based at least in part on the estimated common distortion.
Abstract:
A wireless communication device including two or more aggressor transmitters and a victim receiver that is adversely affected by intermodulation distortion (IMD) components associated with the signals transmitted by the two or more aggressor transmitters. Because the aggressor transmitters and the victim receiver are located on the same device, the transmit waveforms that contribute to the IMD components are known and available. More specifically, digital baseband samples used by the aggressor transmitters to generate the transmit waveforms are available. These digital baseband samples are used to reconstruct the IMD component on the wireless device. This reconstructed (estimated) IMD component is provided to the victim receiver, and is subtracted from a signal received by the victim receiver, thereby effectively removing the IMD component present in this received signal. An adaptive filter using a Volterra series can be used to estimate the IMD component in response to the transmitter digital baseband samples.
