Abstract:
A support structure of a head restraint system for an automotive vehicle seat includes an actuator configured to be actuated by an occupant. A locking arrangement is disposable within a back of the vehicle seat and is configured to selectively secure the support structure relative to the back of the vehicle seat. At least a portion of the locking arrangement is operatively associated with the actuator.
Abstract:
A method for operating a nonvolatile memory, wherein the nonvolatile memory is configured to read out an erased data pattern when reading out a memory area that has not been written in, and performing the operations or tasks of setting a memory area for storing operating variable data that are to be written, providing operating variable data to be written in the nonvolatile memory, checking whether the operating variable data to be written correspond to the erased data pattern of the memory area set, writing the operating variable data in the determined memory area if the operating variable data that are to be written are different from the erased data pattern, and if the operating variable data that are to be written correspond to the erased data pattern, preventing writing the operating variable data in the determined memory area.
Abstract:
Process for preparing an aqueous polymer dispersion by polymerization of at least one olefinically unsaturated compound in an aqueous medium in the presence of at least one dispersant and a solid polymerization catalyst.
Abstract:
A paper size which comprises a stable aqueous dispersion of a reactive size, from 5 to 100% by weight, based on the reactive size, of a substantially linear nitrogen-comprising polymer having at least 3 mmol/g of basic nitrogen atoms, and from 1 to 50% by weight of cationic starch having a degree of substitution of at least 0.05 is described. The paper size has a good sizing effect and a stable viscosity.
Abstract:
An aerodynamically constructed covering part for the underside of a motor vehicle, particularly a passenger car, is provided with an inflow opening and an air guiding element arranged adjacent to the inflow opening. In the driving operation, a partial flow of the cooling air flowing through between the covering part and the roadway is guided through the inflow opening and the air guiding element situated at least in areas above the covering part to an assembly and/or a chassis part situated above. In order to simplify the fastening between the covering part and the air guiding element, it is provided that the air guiding element is inserted into a receiving opening of the covering part and is separably connected with the covering part by way of slide-detent connections.
Abstract:
An air inlet conduit for a cooler of a vehicle has an air conduction scoop inserted into an opening of a vehicle body skin part on its air inlet side. The air inlet conduit is supported by way of a surrounding collar section on an exterior side of the vehicle body skin part, a scoop section extending away from an outer collar section of the air conduction scoop, which scoop section projects into a hollow space of the vehicle body skin part situated behind the latter. The air conduction scoop is connected to an adjoining closed flow-through conduit. So that, during the mounting of the air conduction scoop and/or of the flow-through conduit without any gauge and independently of worker skills, a constant gap is always ensured between the air conduction scoop and the adjoining vehicle body skin part, several trim lugs, which are arranged in pairs on the edge of the opening and project into the opening, are provided. The trim lugs interact in a form-locking manner with positioning pins or positioning sections of the air conduction scoop and/or of the flow-through conduit.
Abstract:
A process for preparing aqueous polymer dispersions by polymerizing one or more olefins in an aqueous medium in the presence of dispersants and, if desired, of organic solvents comprises catalyzing the polymerization of said olefin(s) using one or more metal complex compounds of the formula I where at least one of the radicals R1 to R9 is necessarily in the form of a radical of the formula II below where Z is an electron-withdrawing group and n is an integer from 1 to 5.
Abstract:
In a heating and/or air-conditioning system especially for an automobile with a blower housing and a distributor housing located in front of and below an instrument panel, provision is made such that the distributor housing can be separated toward the vehicle interior from the blower housing. The distributor housing has a front end facing the vehicle interior which fills a recess in the instrument panel provided for removing the distributor housing.
Abstract:
A method of correcting deformed turbine components (1) in an incompressible medium (4) is achieved via means of a pressure wave (6). The turbine component (1) is rigidly fixed to a matrix (3) containing a specified mold (2) and is put into the incompressible medium (4). The method may advantageously work at ambient temperature. It is quick, reproducible and cost-effective.
Abstract:
A rear mounting having two scoop elements is detachably fastened in the rear cutout of a convertible vehicle by way of fastening elements. The scoop elements are constructed to be separable in a longitudinal center plane so that, in an in-use position on the vehicle, the two scoop elements form a connected unit and, in a transport position, these scoop elements can be stowed in the vehicle in a mutually detachable and separate manner.
