Abstract:
A device and method for communicating by a mobile communication terminal in communication with a base station. The method according to an embodiment includes exchanging a frame of data with the base station. The frame of data includes a) a plurality of first subframes each having a first number of orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) symbols, and b) a plurality of second subframes each having a second number of orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) symbols different from the first number. A first and a last subframe each includes one of the plurality of first subframes.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting a random access preamble to a base station includes generating the random access preamble from a Zadoff-Chu (ZC) sequence having a length N, wherein the random access preamble is generated by considering a cyclic shift of the ZC sequence; and transmitting the random access preamble to the base station, wherein the cyclic shift is given by using a variable M corresponding to a Doppler shift of one subcarrier spacing, and wherein parameters associated with defining the cyclic shift are differently defined based on whether the variable M is less than ⅓ of the length N.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for requesting uplink resources in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment determines whether a scheduling request for requesting uplink resources is triggered. If the scheduling request is triggered, the user equipment transmits a first set of frequency domain sequences and a second set of frequency domain sequences in a subframe.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A method for establishing a cyclic shift sequence to provide against the frequency offset is disclosed. The method calculates a distance between a channel response position of the sequence and an alias channel response position caused by a frequency offset, calculates the number of cyclic shifts per group according to the calculated distance, and establishes the cyclic shift (CS)-applying interval. This method easily establishes a cyclic shift (CS) interval at a specific location having no overlapping by considering a channel response of a reception (Rx) sequence and an alias location of this reception (Rx) sequence, although a reception (Rx) signal is shifted by a channel delay spreading or a propagation delay irrespective of categories of a domain generating a sequence, so that it can greatly reduce the number of the detection errors and the false alarm rate. And, if a sequence of the cyclic shift (CS) is allocated to a cell having a frequency offset of more than a predetermined level, the present invention can minimize the influence of a frequency offset on a high-mobility cell.
Abstract:
Method for generating reference signal sequence using grouping is explained. In this method, base sequences are grouped such that each group contains at least one base sequence of each length, so UE(s) can use various length sequences as a reference signal. And in this method, inter cell interference caused by using various length sequence as a reference signal sequence can be minimized by grouping sequences having the high cross correlation relation.
Abstract:
A method of allocating control information in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes: allocating essential control information of a first system to a first sub-frame in a frame including a plurality of sub-frames each of which comprises a plurality of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols; and allocating essential control information of a second system to an nth sub-frame in a fixed position from the first sub-frame (where n is an integer satisfying n>1). Accordingly, in a frame supporting heterogeneous systems, essential control information can be fixedly allocated to a specific position while maintaining the number of system switching points, at which switching occurs between the systems, to one even if a radio resource allocation amount changes between the systems, and thus the essential control information that must be received by all user equipments can be effectively provided without the increase of overhead.
Abstract:
A method is provided for performing a random access procedure by a Node-B with a specific user equipment (UE) within a cell in which a plurality of UEs are located together. The Node-B transmits a random access procedure configuration including a basic sequence index related with a random access channel and zero correlation zone (ZCZ) configuration. The Node-B receives a random access preamble corresponding to the random access procedure configuration from the UE over the random access channel. A length of a cyclic part and a length of a sequence part of the random access preamble are differently given based on the random access procedure configuration. The random access preamble is generated from Constant Amplitude Zero Auto-Correlation (CAZAC) sequences based on the basic sequence index by applying a length of a cyclic shift according to the ZCZ configuration.

A method of transmitting, by a user equipment, control information in a communication system. The method according to one embodiment includes multiplying transmission information corresponding to the control information by a frequency direction sequence, of which length corresponds to a number of subcarriers in a resource block, to generate a first output signal; multiplying the first output signal by a time direction sequence, of which length corresponds to a number of symbols used for transmission of the control information in a transmission unit, to generate a second output signal; and transmitting the second output signal in the transmission unit.
