Abstract:
A full-field x-ray fluorescence imager capable of recording high resolution maps of elemental concentrations with high signal to background in one image is described. Furthermore the methodology to have the same instrument record maps of different elements in series and how to register and overlay these maps properly is discussed.
Abstract:
A radiation condenser system for an X-ray microscope allows for the efficient collection and relay of radiation from a source to the sample. It generates a converging hollow cone of radiation that can be used in the imaging of a sample or target using a zone plate lens. This system comprises a capillary tube for receiving and focusing radiation onto a sample. A center stop is provided for blocking radiation being transmitted along an axis of the capillary tube.
Abstract:
A phase contrast x-ray microscope has a phase plate that is placed in proximity of and attached rigidly to the objective to form a composite optic. This enables easier initial and long-term maintenance of alignment of the microscope. In one example, they are fabricated on the same high-transmissive substrate. The use of this composite optic allows for lithographic-based alignment that will not change over the lifetime of the instrument. Also, in one configuration, the phase plate is located between the test object and the objective.
Abstract:
An optical fingerprint reader apparatus is configured to detect skin features of a finger using Frustrated Total Internal Reflection contrast detection. The apparatus comprises a display comprising a transparent cover and a substrate comprising an array of active pixels that serve as an illuminator of the apparatus. The apparatus comprises a pinhole array which can be affixed to a transparent display or integrated within an opaque display. An optical sensor is optically coupled to the display via the pinhole array and comprises an array of photosensors. A processor is coupled to the display and the optical sensor. The processor is configured to control reading of signals from the photosensors and to control illumination of selected active pixels in accordance with a predefined scanning pattern that covers a finger sensing region of the transparent cover during a fingerprint reading operation.

A radio frame and method are provided for sending a sounding reference signal (SRS) in a mobile communication system, which is used to solve the problem of shortage of resources for sending the SRS in the mobile communication system. The method includes a user equipment (UE) sending the SRS to eNB in time-frequency resources corresponding to a guard space in the radio frame, wherein, the guard space is one or more of downlink to uplink guard space, uplink to downlink guard space, reserved subframes, or reserved idle resources. A device is also provided for sending the SRS, applied to the UE in the mobile communication system, wherein the device includes a radio frame construction module and a sounding reference signal transmission module.

A charge pump circuit for generating an output voltage is described. Charge pump circuits typically have two branches. As the clocks supplying the branches of a charge pump circuit alternate, the output of each branch will alternately provide an output voltage, which are then combined to form the pump output. The techniques described here allow charge to be transferred between the two branches, so that as the capacitor of one branch discharges, it is used to charge up the capacitor in the other branch. An exemplary embodiment using a voltage doubler-type of circuit, with the charge transfer between the branches accomplished using a switch controller by a boosted version of the clock signal, which is provided by a one-sided voltage doubler.

A printing device for producing finished product by one-pass sheet-feed may include a sheet-conveying unit, stamping-control units, a die-cutting unit, a waste edges removing unit, a blanking unit, a waste removing unit, and a conveying mechanism. The operation method of the device may include transferring a single sheet to the stamping-control units by the sheet-conveying unit, gripping and transferring the sheet to the stamping-control units by a gripper bar, to stamp or indent; transferring the sheet to the die-cutting unit to complete the die-cutting work; transferring the sheet to the waste edges removing unit to remove part of the waste edges; transferring the sheet to the blanking unit to collect all finished product; and transferring the last remaining waste edges to the waste removing unit.

The present invention pertains to the technical field of A/D converter, to be more specific, a pipeline A/D converter and its single redundancy bit digital correction. The related single redundancy bit digital correction features the following steps: substages except for the last one quantizes input voltage, calculates the residual voltage, which is amplified and shifted to the middle part of the reference voltage range, and outputs to the following substage until the last one, which only quantizes the input voltage; The code and offset code of each substage, corresponding to the quantized thermometer code is calculated; the offset codes of all stages are added by weight to get total offset code; codes of all substages are added by weight, to which the total offset code is added. The comparator offset error is corrected to obtain an output code; the present invention released the A/D converter that applies the foregoing digital correction; the present invention is capable of reducing the number of substages of high speed and high resolution pipeline A/D converter and identifying the negative or positive overflows of input signals.
Abstract:
CD-GISAXS achieves reduced measurement times by increasing throughput using longer wavelength radiation (˜12×, for example) such as x-rays in reflective geometry to increase both the collimation acceptance angle of the incident beams and the scattering signal strength, resulting in a substantial combined throughput gain. This wavelength selection and geometry can result in a dramatic reduction in measurement time. Furthermore, the capabilities of the CD-GISAXS can be extended to meet many of the metrology needs of future generations of semiconductor manufacturing and nanostructure characterization, for example.
