摘要： A fuel absorbent is provided in which polymer particles having a fuel absorbing ability are contained or dispersed in a binder matrix permeable to fuel. The fuel permeates the binder and is absorbed by the polymer particles. A process is provided for making the fuel absorbent by mixing polymer particles having fuel absorbing ability with a binder dissolved in a solvent, to thereby obtain a dispersion mixture having the polymer particles dispersed therein. The dispersion mixture is then dried to cause the polymer particles to be dispersed in a matrix of the binder. The fuel absorbent has excellent durability and fuel absorbing/desorbing ability.

摘要： An evaporation loss control device provided with a polymer chamber filled with polymer absorbent, a charcoal chamber filled with charcoal, introduction and purging pipes for connecting the polymer chamber with a fuel tank and an engine intake passage, respectively, an air pipe for ventilation connected to the charcoal chamber, and a vapor passage, which has various forms. For example, the vapor passage may be formed in spiral to encircle the polymer chamber, or provided between the polymer and charcoal chambers, thus allowing the evaporated fuel to pass therethrough. The vapor passage is constructed to prevent the evaporated fuel trapped by the polymer absorbent from flowing into the charcoal chamber, and also to prevent the liquid fuel from being absorbed by the charcoal.

摘要： A floor polisher, while travelling, causes a pad to rotate at a high speed to polish a floor. The floor polisher has a vertically moving mechanism adapted to move the pad in the vertical direction with respect to the floor, a ground pressure adjusting mechanism adapted to maintain a ground pressure of the pad a set pressure by controlling the vertically moving mechanism, and a floor protecting mechanism adapted to actuate the vertically moving mechanism to lift the pad immediately when the travel of the floor polisher is stopped.

The partitions have a first height that is greater than a second height of the lenses. The base includes trenches between the lenses. The trenches are recessed in a direction opposite the lenses. The partitions are in the trenches. Each partition has a cross-section that includes an upper side that has a different length than a bottom side and lateral sides that are tilted.

The light reflective layer, the first transparent electrode layer, the insulation layer, and the hole transport layer are formed above the substrate in a region isolated by the photosensitive resin layer. The photosensitive resin layer comprises a material that absorbs incident light of a predetermined wavelength. The first transparent electrode layer, the insulation layer, the hole transport layer, and the photosensitive resin layer each have a reflectance value that is between a local minimum value and a neighborhood value of the local minimum value.

A speed change mode is selected from first and second modes, where a total speed change ratio governed by the speed change ratio of the CV unit and the gear stage of the geared unit is set based on a vehicle running condition, and the total speed change ratio is set based on a signal for applying power source braking, respectively. The system reduces a number of gear stages of the geared unit settable under the second mode. Total speed change ratio is set according to the gear stage of the geared unit, and to the speed change ratio of the CV unit, in case the second mode is selected.
