    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information associated with identifying a first transmit power for a first carrier in a band and a second transmit power for a second carrier in the band, wherein the first transmit power and the second transmit power exceed a per-carrier group power threshold. The UE may transmit at least one of a first communication using a first scaled transmit power or a second communication using a second scaled transmit power, wherein at least one of the first transmit power or the second transmit power is scaled to form the first scaled transmit power or the second scaled transmit power in connection with the per-carrier group power threshold.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may support two or more uplink switching periods for transmit chain switching. The UE may transmit a UE capability message indicating the UE capability to support a first uplink switching period and a second uplink switching period for transmit chain switching. The first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period may each correspond to different switching periods associated with configuration switches between different transmit chain configurations of the UE. The UE and a base station may select an uplink switching period from among the first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period. The UE may transmit an uplink data message to the base station after a preparation time that is based on the uplink switching period.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to power headroom reporting for carriers unconfigured for uplink communication are described. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network entity, a power headroom report (PHR) including first power headroom information for a configured carrier configured for uplink communication and second power headroom information for at least one unconfigured carrier that is unconfigured for uplink communication. The UE may further receive, from the network entity, a message indicating a selected carrier comprising one of the configured carrier and the at least one unconfigured carrier in response to the PHR, and may transmit, to the network entity, an uplink transmission via the selected carrier. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
