Abstract:
A local processing apparatus and a data transceiving method thereof are provided. The local processing apparatus includes a communication module configured to transceive the data with the one or more distributed storage units, a memory configured to store a program for transceiving the data and the one or more key-value data pairs, and a processor configured to execute the program, the processor confirms whether a first key-value data exists in the memory by executing the program, and determines whether to prefetch one or more key-value data corresponding to the first key-value data based on the confirmation result.
Abstract:
Provided herein is a robust region segmentation method and a system using the same, the method including receiving setting of an image in an input image; calculating representative values for each of an internal portion and an external portion of the region; calculating a cost by substituting the representative values and a pixel value of the image in a cost function, and updating the region based on the calculated cost, wherein the cost function includes a term in which a difference between the updated pixel value and an original pixel value is reflected, thereby enabling an accurate region segmentation even in ambiguous images that are complicated and where division of regions is unclear.
Abstract:
An adaptive cache management method according to access characteristic of a user application in a distributed environment is provided. The adaptive cache management method includes: determining an access pattern of a user application; and determining a cache write policy based on the access pattern. Accordingly, a delay in speed which may occur in an application can be minimized by efficiently using resources established in a distributed environment and using an adaptive policy.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a remote controller having a dual touch pad and a method of control using the same, the remote controller including a communication unit, a first touch pad, a second touch pad, an elastic layer, a position sensing unit, and a control unit. The first and second touch pads are installed adjacent to each other, and each have the elastic layer formed thereon, to output first and second selection signals, respectively, to control the control target device. The position sensing unit senses whether the first touch pad and the second touch pad are positioned in a longitudinal direction or in a traverse direction and outputs a third selection signal. The control unit receives at least one of the first to third selection signals from the first touch pad, the second touch pad, or the position sensing unit, and transmits a control signal to the control target device.
Abstract:
Direct mapping method and system for converting MODBUS data into IEC61850 data based on machine learning are provided. The data direct mapping method according to an exemplary embodiment includes: generating a simulation value based on external information; estimating a parameter indicated by a measurement value through machine learning using the measurement value outputted from a generating device and the generated simulation value; and converting a data structure of the measurement value with reference to the estimated parameter. Accordingly, the MODBUS data can be directly converted into the IEC61850 data without data reconversion using a data gateway.
Abstract:
A segment synchronization method of a network-based display is provided. The network segment synchronization method forms a plurality of network segments, selects a single terminal in the network segment as a segment master, sets the other terminals in the network segment as segment slaves, and synchronizes, by the segment slaves, time to the segment master of the network segment to which the segment slaves belong. Accordingly, a function of synchronizing can be provided to super multi-view network terminals without a bridge (switch) providing an existing gPTP function for each port.
Abstract:
An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a display configured to display a first screen; a force direction sensing unit configured to detect a force direction of a contact applied to one point by an external object; and a control unit configured to sense an occurrence of a predetermined event to logically divide the display into at least two regions including a first region and a second region, acquire a force direction of a first contact associated with the predetermined event from the force direction sensing unit, determine a region from among the at least two regions to display the first screen according to the force direction of the first contact, and display the first screen on the determined region.
Abstract:
Provided are a method for image prediction of a multi-view video codec capable of improving coding efficiency, and a computer readable recording medium therefor. The method for image prediction of a multi-view video codec includes partitioning an image to a plurality of base blocks, acquiring information of reference images which are temporally different, acquiring information of reference images which have different views, and predicting a target block based on the acquired information. Accordingly, an image that is most similar to an image of a view to be currently compressed is generated using multiple images of different views, so that coding efficiency can be improved.
Abstract:
A video masking processing method and a video masking processing apparatus using the same are provided. The video masking processing method photographs frames constituting a video, detects at least one masking area to be masked in the photographed frames, masks an image in the detected at least one masking area, inserts masking information including information on the masking into the photographed frame, and stores the frame which has undergone the masking and has the masking information inserted thereinto. Therefore, since images related to personal information in a photographed video are masked, a user does not infringe others' privacy in a video normally photographed by a CCTV or a dashboard camera.
Abstract:
