In some aspects, a primary user equipment (UE) may transmit, on a sidelink, information indicating a set of sidelink random access configurations corresponding to a set of uplink random access configurations; receive, on the sidelink and from a secondary UE, a random access signal based at least in part on a selected sidelink random access configuration of the set of sidelink random access configurations, wherein the selected sidelink random access configuration corresponds to a selected uplink random access configuration of the set of uplink random access configurations; and selectively performing a random access procedure in accordance with the selected uplink random access configuration. Abstract: A method, base station (BS), user equipment (UE), apparatus, and computer program product for wireless communication are provided. A BS and a UE may communicate using a narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) communication system. However, a frequency, time, and/or power associated with transmission of a SIB1-NB on a non-anchor carrier may not be configured for NB-IoT. In some aspects, the BS may determine parameters, such as a time domain location parameter, a frequency domain location parameter, a quantity of repetitions, a power boosting parameter, and/or the like for a transmission in NB-IoT. In some aspects, a UE may determine to transmit a connection request message on a different carrier than a random access channel message.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for channel measurement and reporting by a FD UE. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to transmit an uplink (UL) signal in a set of UL resources configured with a base station. The UE may be further configured to monitor a set of downlink (DL) resources configured with the base station, the set of DL resources being adjacent to or at least partially overlapping with the set of UL resources. The UE may be further configure to determine a channel quality associated with the set of DL resources based on the UL signal transmitted in the set of UL resources. The UE may be configured to then transmit, to the base station, information indicating channel state feedback (CSF) based on the determined channel quality.

Abstract: A low complexity user equipment (UE) may be in communication with another UE (e.g., with a premium UE or more capable UE) via a device-to-device communication link (e.g., via sidelink), and the low complexity UE may leverage the device-to-device link to improve (e.g., simplify, expedite, etc.) random access procedures performed by the low complexity UE. For example, a low complexity UE may request contention free random access (CFRA) resources via the device-to-device link with another UE. Another device (e.g., another UE in device-to-device communication with the low complexity UE) may receive the request from the low complexity UE and forward the request to the network (e.g., to a base station). The network may then configure CFRA resources for the low complexity UE. Upon receiving the CFRA configuration, the low complexity UE may perform a random access procedure (e.g., a CFRA procedure) with the network (e.g., with the base station) accordingly.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently reporting channel state information (CSI) with limited overhead. In one aspect, if a user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit data and CSI to a base station periodically, the UE may transmit the CSI when the UE has data to transmit to the base station. In particular, the UE may transmit data and a CSI report during a transmission opportunity if the UE has data to transmit in the transmission opportunity. Otherwise, the UE may suppress transmission of the CSI report. In another aspect, a UE may be configured to transmit CSI to abase station when downlink channel conditions change. In particular, the UE may request to report CSI to the base station when channel conditions change, and the base station may trigger the UE to report the CSI after receiving the request.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more sets of contiguous time domain resources for a multi-slot transmission occasion that spans at least multiple slots. The UE may select, for one or more codeblocks of a communication on the multi-slot transmission occasion, coded bits of a plurality of coded bits on a per slot basis for each of the multiple slots, wherein start locations for bit selection for each of the multiple slots are determined independently from one another. The UE may interleave the coded bits to form one or more interleaved encoded bit sequences of the one or more codeblocks. The UE may transmit the communication including the one or more interleaved encoded bit sequences. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A UE receives, from a base station or a component of the base station, at least one DL grant after a reception of an UL grant, the at least one DL grant being associated with a DL cDAI value and a DL tDAI value, the UL grant being associated with an UL tDAI value and scheduling a plurality of PUSCH repetitions. The UE calculates a total number of DL grants sent to the UE based on the DL cDAI value. The UE adjusts the total number of DL grants if there is a difference between the total number of DL grants and the UL tDAI value. The UE transmits, to the base station, a HARQ codebook in at least one of the plurality of PUSCH repetitions, a size of the HARQ codebook being based on the adjusted total number of DL grants.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station or other network entity may allocate uplink resources to UEs, or groups of UEs, that are subsequently reallocated. For example, a base station may determine a reallocation of uplink resources and issue a cancellation or preemption indication that may correspond to at least a portion of the previously-allocated resources (e.g., as allocated to particular UEs). UEs may be configured to monitor for cancellation or preemption indications, and based on received cancellation or preemption indications, UEs may determine whether or not to proceed with an uplink transmission using their previously-allocated uplink resources.
