    Abstract: An outboard motor includes an engine, an engine cover with which the engine is covered, an intake pipe disposed between an outer surface of the engine and an inner surface of the engine cover, and a battery. The engine includes a piston that reciprocates rectilinearly and a crankshaft that rotates around a crankshaft axis extending in an up-down direction. The intake pipe is connected to a first outer surface of the engine along the crankshaft axis, and supplies air to the engine. The battery is disposed between a second outer surface of the engine, which is different than the first outer surface, and the inner surface of the engine cover.

    Abstract: An outboard motor engine has a cylinder block including vertically stacked cylinders divided into two cylinder banks arranged in a V-shape. Two cylinder heads define intake passages, each intake passage corresponding to a respective cylinder. Air intake manifolds include air intake runners that extend from an opposite end of the engine, around outer sides of the cylinder block, and respectively connect to the intake passages. Two vertically extending fuel rails are respectively located between the first cylinder head and the first air intake manifold and between the second cylinder head and the second air intake manifold. The fuel rails are integral with either the respective cylinder heads, or the respective air intake manifolds. Fuel injectors are coupled to the fuel rails and vertically spaced from one another with respect to each fuel rail such that each fuel injector is associated with a respective cylinder.

    Abstract: A saddle-ridden vehicle includes: an engine and an air cleaner case that are supported to a body frame and respectively arranged in front and rear sides of the vehicle; a rear cushion arranged between the engine and the air cleaner case, the rear cushion being coupled to the body frame; and a connecting tube that extends forward from the air cleaner case and is coupled to the engine. The connecting tube upwardly bypasses an upper end of the rear cushion so as to be curvedly arranged under an occupant seat. The connecting tube defines a breather-gas return chamber between an inner wall and an upper-side outer wall of the connecting tube, the breather-gas return chamber being communicated with an internal space of the air cleaner case and receiving breather gas from the engine, the inner wall being integrated with the upper-side outer wall.

    Abstract: A snowmobile has a frame including a tunnel having a passage therethrough, at least one ski, an engine having an engine air inlet and an engine exhaust outlet, and a drive track operatively connected thereto and disposed at least partly below the tunnel around a rear suspension. A heat exchanger connected to the tunnel has heat exchanger engine air inlet and outlet, a cooling air inlet and a cooling air outlet fluidly connected between the cooling air inlet and the passage. A snowmobile has a pipe fluidly connected to the exhaust outlet and having first and second pipe outlets. The snowmobile further has a muffler having first and second muffler inlets and a muffler outlet, a turbocharger, first and second exhaust flow passages, and a valve disposed between the pipe and the first muffler inlet for selectively controlling the flow of exhaust gas flowing through the first exhaust flow path.
