摘要: A insulation structure for a splice portion, a harness mounting plate, and a wiring unit that are capable of reducing labor-hours that are required when insulating a splice portion where a plurality of electrical wires are connected by a splice terminal. A plurality of electrical wires are connected by a splice terminal, wherein an opening portion that allows the splice portion to be inserted thereinto and removed therefrom is formed in a splice housing portion that surrounds and insulates the splice portion, and the insulation structure is provided with a separation restricting portion that restricts the splice portion that is housed in the splice housing portion from becoming separated from the opening portion.

摘要: A cable termination apparatus, for an underwater cable with a conductive core and an axially extending annular insulation portion, the apparatus having a cable crimp for electrically connecting the conductive core of the underwater cable to a pin and a conductive crimp screen. The crimp screen is arranged such that when the termination is assembled a portion of the conductive crimp screen extends axially over and is radially outwardly of the annular insulation portion of the cable.

摘要: An electrical wire with a terminal fitting that can be manufactured without using a welding device, and a method of manufacturing this electrical wire with a terminal fitting. Metal foil is wrapped around end portions of the braided wire, and terminal fittings are connected to the end portions. According to this configuration, the metal foil makes it possible to prevent strands in the end portions of the braided wire from becoming loose and spreading apart, and this makes it possible to manufacture the electrical wire with a terminal fitting without using a welding device.

摘要: A shield wire for use with a terminal fitting has a ring (7) is fit laterally to an outer cover (4), and a braided wire (3) is folded onto an outer peripheral surface of the ring (7). A hooking edge (9) protrudes over the entire circumference on a front end part of the ring (7). A barrel (15) of an outer conductor terminal (12) is crimped to the folded braided wire (3). Thus, the hooking edge (9) of the ring (7) is widened into a horn shape to form a bell-mouth (16) with the braided wire (3) hooked to the hooking edge (9). Thus, a hooked sate of the braided wire (3) and the ring (7) is strengthened, so that a holding force of a terminal fitting (T) onto a shield wire (S) is enhanced.

The method includes positioning the electrical conductors in individual longitudinal and parallel cells which are formed between two planar walls of the connector, crimping the conductors crimped in a crimping zone by simultaneous transverse punching of at least one wall of the connector, and forming by the transverse punching at least one corresponding transverse groove line on the at least one connector wall and, by load transfer, on each of the conductors to electrically connect the conductors.

摘要: A contact element for connecting to a cable having a braided shield includes a spring contact sleeve and a crimp sleeve. The spring contact sleeve has an annular ring and spring contacts arranged circumferentially on one end of the annular ring. The spring contact sleeve and the crimp sleeve form an enclosed hollow cavity between one another when the crimp sleeve is joined to the annular ring. The hollow cavity is configured to fully receive therein an exposed portion of the braided shield provided for connection of the contact element to the cable.
