摘要: Support systems and stands for electronic devices include tilt hinges, lift arms, and their component parts. Some tilt hinges include assemblies for guiding and retaining bars or protrusions into preferred positioning within receiver openings to unify the parts, particularly as they move, and to reduce wobble or slop in the joints. Lift arms provide simplified and low-cost guidance and counterbalance mechanisms for controlling movement of the electronic device relative to the base of a stand. In some cases, the lift arms have sheaths to help protect or cover mechanisms while allowing additional space for the mechanisms within the lift arm. Other interconnection systems hide and protect a connector interface between the stand and the electronic device within a housing until unlocked and the connector is moved into an exposed position. These systems improve efficiency, comfort, ergonomics, accessibility, and user satisfaction of the electronic devices and their supports.

摘要: Method and system allowing more accurate detection and identification of unwanted arcing include novel processing of signal voltage representing recovered power-line current. In one implementation, arc-faults are detected based on numerical analysis where individual cycles of line voltage and current are observed and data collected during each cycle is processed to estimate likelihood of presence of arc-event within each individual cycle based on pre-defined number of arc-events occurring within pre-defined number of contiguous cycles. In another implementation, fast transient current spikes detection can be done by: computing difference values between consecutive line-current samples collected over a cycle, average of differences, and peak-to-peak value of line-current; comparing each difference value to average of difference; comparing each difference value to peak-to-peak value; and, based on calculation of composite of two comparisons, using thresholds to determine if arcing is present within processed cycle.

摘要: A display support frame configurable as a free-standing device holds many different sizes of flat screen displays. The display support frame includes a base frame to be placed against a surface such as a desk, floor, or wall, two elevation arms rotatably coupled to the back end of the base frame, and a tilt frame rotatably coupled to the front end of each elevation arm. A flat screen display may be attached to the tilt frame. An elevation angle between the elevation arms and base frame and a tilt angle between the tilt frame and elevation arms are independently adjustable. After removing the flat screen display, the display support frame folds into a flat pack for convenient storage and transport. The display support frame may be placed in deployed and flat pack configurations without the use of tools.

摘要: A method using a specially configured computer display support structure reduces occurrences of medical errors by facilitating real-time, synchronous review of medical data by rounding professionals during patient rounds. The support structure includes an upright column assembly that has a column assembly base and six sides. Mounting brackets fixed to non-contiguous sides of the column assembly receive back plates of a system device mounting assembly, each of which includes a pivot arm that receives a system device arm. The system device arm is pivotable at opposing ends and terminates in a coupling member at its distal end. The coupling member is connected to a video display that has an angularly positionable display screen. In some embodiments, a keyboard tray, on which a keyboard and computer mouse rest, is connected to the coupling member.
