摘要: A reel based closure device includes a housing, a tension member, a spool that is rotatably positioned within the housing, and a tightening component that is positioned axially above the spool and that is operably coupled therewith so that an operation of the tightening component causes the spool to rotate within the housing to wind the tension member about the spool. The reel based closure device also includes a coupling component that is separate from the tension member and that frictionally engages with a distal end of the tension member so that the coupling component is removably fixed to the tension member. The spool component includes a coupling feature within which the coupling component is positioned to attach the tension member to the spool.

摘要: Method and system allowing more accurate detection and identification of unwanted arcing include novel processing of signal voltage representing recovered power-line current. In one implementation, arc-faults are detected based on numerical analysis where individual cycles of line voltage and current are observed and data collected during each cycle is processed to estimate likelihood of presence of arc-event within each individual cycle based on pre-defined number of arc-events occurring within pre-defined number of contiguous cycles. In another implementation, fast transient current spikes detection can be done by: computing difference values between consecutive line-current samples collected over a cycle, average of differences, and peak-to-peak value of line-current; comparing each difference value to average of difference; comparing each difference value to peak-to-peak value; and, based on calculation of composite of two comparisons, using thresholds to determine if arcing is present within processed cycle.

摘要: A winch rigging link has a body defining a cable retainer and a soft shackle retainer at opposite ends. The body has a length, a width less than the length, and a depth less than the width. Furthermore, the body defines opposing faces bounded by the length and width and spaced apart by the depth. The soft shackle retainer comprises a channel running widthwise across the soft shackle retainer an in between the faces. The channel defines a bearing surface having curvature in a lengthwise and widthwise plane. The cable retainer may be permanently attached to a winch cable and the soft shackle retainer attached to a soft shackle or the like when required for winch rigging. The configuration of the link maximises the bend radius of the soft shackle or the like retained by the soft shackle retainer, despite the relatively narrow profile of the body thereof.

摘要: A chain binder to connect and apply tension to chains, straps, or the like used to secure cargo on any type of platform or vehicle. The chain binder includes a lever body; a first side portion; a second side portion; and gears that effectuate two modes of operation. Namely, a power driven mode of operation or a manual lever mode of operation. Rotations of the gears causes hooks or connectors, via movement of eye-bolts, toward each other to place tension in the chains or strap. Opposite rotations of the gears causes hooks or connectors, via movement of eye-bolts, away from each other to relax the chains or strap. If components are damages during use, they may be replaced on an as-needed basis to reduce operational cost of the chain binder since the entire binder does not need replaced when only one component fails or is damaged.

摘要: A spool, a tightening device with the spool, and a coupling method of the spool and a lace are provided. A first free end and a second free end of the lace are routed in subtended directions along a first routing path and a second routing path, respectively. The first routing path and the second routing path are designed in separate grade crossing structure. Even if the first free end and the second free end are routed simultaneously, they will not collide with each other. When the lace is knotted, there is no strict requirement for the length of a reserved tail of the lace. Even if the tail of the lace is left outside a housing, the tail of the lace can be wound onto the spool by rotating the spool, without affecting the normal operation of the tightening device. The method achieves easy, quick, and accurate lace coupling.

摘要: Various embodiments concern locking release mechanisms that allow an articulated support arm to be moved between various vertical orientations. A locking release mechanism may include a handle release mechanism positioned within the handle of the articulated support arm, and a gas spring release mechanism positioned within the body of the articulated support arm. The articulated support arm can include a gas spring that remains locked until the handle release mechanism is activated, e.g. by applying pressure to a grip actuator. Other embodiments concern cable management techniques for articulated support arms. Oftentimes, an articulated support arm will include cables routed through the arm that are configured to support an attachment. For example, the cable(s) may be adapted for audio signals, video signals, power, etc. The cable(s) can be readily cleaned and/or serviced when routed through an articulated support arm composed of one or more removable pieces.
