摘要: The invention relates to a joining method wherein a first surface (2) of a first adherend (1) and a second surface (8) of a second adherend (6) are bonded to one another by provision of an adhesive tape (3) having a first side (4) and a second side (7), there being disposed on the first side (4) a first activatable adhesive and on the second side (7) a second activatable adhesive, the latter being an activatable pressure-sensitive adhesive, the first side (4) of the adhesive tape (3) is contacted with the first surface (2) of the first adherend (1) to produce a preliminary assembly, the second surface (8) of the second adherend (6) is joined in a joining movement to the second side (7) of the adhesive tape (3), the joining movement having a tangential component and a perpendicular component relative to the second side (7) of the adhesive tape (3), with a ratio between tangential and perpendicular components of greater than 0.5, where a region of contact between second surface (8) of the second adherend (6) and second side (7) of the adhesive tape (3) is provided with a nonaqueous lubricant.

摘要: Provided are methods of attaching parts using slot cases and assemblies comprising these slot cases. A slot case is inserted into a slot or slid on a tab of a first part prior to attaching it to a second part. The first part may have pores that are partially open at the surface of the slot or tab. These pores may receive adhesive while attaching the two parts. The adhesive volume going into these partially open pores may vary among different first parts. To ensure that enough adhesive is supplied between the slot case and first part, the adhesive is introduced in between these components before attaching the second part and while the slot case and first part are more accessible. The adhesive may be supplied through the bottom of the slot case and continue until the adhesive appears at the top edges of the slot case.

摘要: A fastener and method for joining dissimilar materials. The fastener has a metal body and a hollow portion. The method includes the steps of: layering a thermoplastic first component with a second component such that the first component covers an opening formed through the second component; pressing the metal fastener against the first component through the opening in the second component; and heating the thermoplastic at an interface of the metal fastener and the first component so that the thermoplastic flows into the hollow portion of the metal fastener during the step of pressing. A portion of the metal fastener is thus embedded in the thermoplastic and a joint is formed that attaches the first and second components together when the thermoplastic is cooled.

摘要: Provided are a composite material structure obtained by joining composite materials with resin-impregnated reinforcing fibers, for which appropriate lightning proofing measures are taken, and a method for manufacturing the composite material structure. The composite material structure includes a first composite material, a second composite material, and a low-conductivity material. The first composite material includes a conductive first reinforcing fiber and a first resin impregnated into the first reinforcing fiber. The second composite material is integrated with the first composite material, and has a conductive second reinforcing fiber and a second resin impregnated into the second reinforcing fiber. The low-conductivity material has an electrical resistance that is lower than that of the first resin and the second resin and a low conductivity that is greater than or equal to the first reinforcing fiber and the second reinforcing fiber, and electrically connects the first reinforcing fiber to the second reinforcing fiber.

摘要: A method for attaching a fastening element to a surface includes arranging a basic body in contact with the surface using an adhesive ring. The surface, the adhesive ring, and a gap therebetween form airtight barriers of a space. The basic body has at least one air- and/or water-permeable connection between the space and an outer side of the basic body. An adhesive is introduced into the space so that it is filled with a quantity of adhesive which has a contact surface with the basic body. A curing process for the adhesive provides moisture, wherein prior to the curing process or/and during the curing process, the adhesive ring and the quantity of adhesive are heated so that some of the adhesive located in the region of the contact surface forms an insulating layer which is cured over and beyond the contact surface and constitutes a further airtight barrier for the remaining quantity of adhesive which has not cured.
