The conveyor includes three cross members each attached to a respective slat set. The cross members and slats are moved by a two-cylinder slat drive which simultaneously moves all slats and cross members in a first direction and then moves the slat sets and cross members in a second direction, opposite the first direction, one cross member and slat set at a time.

A conveyor installation for loose material, especially blasting materials for sand-blasting installations, includes on the hall floor, respectively, blast chamber floor at least one longitudinal conveyor (1, 2, 3, 4) and at right angle thereto at its conveyor end in the same plane a cross-conveyor (5). These conveyors (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) operate by the use of conveyor members (27, 28) which are suspended in a pneumatically driven reciprocating frame (19, 24, 33). The frames (19, 24, 33) include lateral girders (20, 21; 31, 32) which are connected by webs (22). The frames run on rollers (11 to 18, 34, 36) which project from boundary profiles (6, 7, 8, 9, 10). The latter delimit laterally the longitudinal conveyors (1, 2, 3, 4). The cross-conveyor (5) includes a boundary profile (35) with rollers (34) only at the side opposite the longitudinal conveyors whereas on the side facing the longitudinal conveyors the rollers (36) are provided at the end faces of the boundary profiles (7, 8, 9 ) of the longitudinal conveyors. For creating a free passage from the longitudinal conveyors to the cross conveyor, the frame girder (31) thereof which faces the longitudinal conveyors, is constructed with a short vertical leg.

Apparatus for the transfer of ware in step-wise fashion from one point to another with silk-screen printing of the ware between the remote points. The articles of ware, in spaced-apart locations, are moved by an elongated horizontally disposed beam having a plurality of spaced-apart wareholders from a rearward horizontally disposed rest position downwardly in an arcuate path and then upwardly to a second forwardly located rest position in the same horizontal plane. The articles of ware are then each clamped while the beam reverses direction. A further article of ware is placed in the first wareholder, the other forwardly located articles being received in respective forwardly located wareholders. The beam then again moves forward and the articles of ware are each clamped. The beam then reverses direction, receiving a further article, etc. At the print station the articles are each raised vertically upwardly in a smooth curve, printed, and then lowered vertically downwardly in an opposing smooth curve. The printed articles are then forwarded downstream to other work stations.

A conveyor consisting of a cross-sectionally U-shaped, elongate, stationary rail with the opening upwards, a rod reciprocably mounted therein, and an operating mechanism for reciprocating the rod, the upper edge of the rod being lifted above the opening of the stationary rail by movement in the forward direction and being lowered below said opening by movement in the rearward direction. Lifting and lowering are effected by means of U-shaped slide members with inclined tracks to cooperate with projections on the sides of the rod. When the rod is moved forwardly, its upper edge rises above the upper edge of the stationary rail and lifts and therefore carries along the hangers in the forward direction. During the rearward movement, the upper edge of the rod is lowered below the upper edges of the stationary rail, so that the hangers remain thereon and are not carried along in the rearward direction.
