    Abstract: The present invention provides a gastrointestinal liquid biopsy sampling device. The sampling device includes an enclosure and expandable materials. The enclosure includes through holes cut in the wall of the enclosure, and targeted dissolution membranes covering the through holes that can be dissolved at targeted regions. The expandable materials are arranged at the positions corresponding to the through holes. The expandable materials expand after absorbing liquid and close the through holes.

    Abstract: A biopsy needle for collecting a tissue specimen includes an outer cannula and an inner tube received within the outer cannula and configured to receive a stylet. The outer cannula is fixedly coupled to a needle holder that is coupled to and moves with a movable base that is axially movable within the handle housing. An inner driven structure (curvilinear part) is configured to selectively engage the movable base and travel therewith in a first stage of operation and in a second stage of operation in which the inner driven structure is disengaged from the movable base, the inner driven structure is driven along the movable base which is held in a stationary position. The coupling between the inner driven structure and the inner tube is such that the axial driving of the inner driven structure imparts rotation to the inner tube relative to the outer cannula.

    Abstract: An elongated access device used in a medical system. The elongated access device slidably receives a medical tool and an ultrasound probe. The elongated access device includes a sheath and an intraluminal tip attached to the distal end of the sheath. The intraluminal tip includes ramp and nose donuts being spaced apart from one another and configured to be attached to one or more elongated sleeves. One or more orientation pins are engaged with the respective ramp and nose donuts and may be anchored within the sheath. The medical tool is engaged with a ramp formed in the ramp donut or a ramp received within the ramp donut. The ultrasound probe is configured to engage with the intraluminal tip so as to ensure that the medical tool directionality is oriented toward a target during a procedure.

    Abstract: An anatomical sensing system-guided prostate procedure device that includes a housing having a proximal end and a distal end. The housing may be divided into a distal housing section, amid housing section, and a proximal housing section, wherein the distal housing section is configured for insertion into the anus and retention in the rectum of a subject.     Abstract: An exemplary biopsy device includes (i) an elongated body, (ii) a hollow needle coupled to the distal end of the elongated body, the hollow needle having a channel that spans the length of the hollow needle, (iii) a trigger associated with the elongated body, (iv) a stylet having or associated with a biopsy element, the stylet being disposed within the channel of the hollow needle, operably connected to the trigger, and configured to extend beyond the distal end of the hollow needle and subsequently retract within the channel of the hollow needle, and (v) a spring mechanism operably connected to the trigger such that the spring mechanism compresses in response to operation of the trigger, extending the biopsy element, and is configured to rebound following compression, the rebound causing the biopsy element to retract toward or within the hollow needle.
